"Our driveway was a mess, as it slopes significantly towards the house and the existing driveway was insufficient in terms of drainage. Over time there were enormous cracks and depressions where water would pool that would just get worse each year. We looked into several contractors, from paving specialists to those that work with semi-permeable pavers. The estimates ranged from $15K for paving to $35K for pavers. We met with Brian the day after we first contacted him, and he seemed to understand what we needed on the spot and was able to give us a quote of $7K as well as describe in detail what would be done. Along with regrading the driveway and installing enough stone (rip-rap) to stabilize the ground in front of the garage (where we saw the worst damage), he recommended a barrel block drain kit with a dry well to handle the water runoff. As we looked over the existing driveway, he noticed that there was only 1 inch of asphalt laid over the base, and he recommended at least 3 inches. He was able to schedule us within 2 weeks, and excavated the existing driveway and installed the new on in a day and a half. As we have an invisible fence that runs under the driveway, he was able to incorporate that into the new one. His team was professional and friendly, and the new driveway looks great. We're really happy with the work Brian and his team did. We were actually away when the work was done, but my parents were here and they were both really impressed with his team (and they're not easily impressed with contractors). We're glad we went with BK and Sons Paving and would easily recommend them for any paving work."
