"So I used Angie's List to narrow down my 3 main choices for a major exterior home improvement project. I got quotes from the 3, and decided on Make A Choice. It was definitely the 'right' choice. The work was done quickly and professionally. Great care was taken to cause little disturbance to neighbors who are VERY close in proximity to my house. Step 1: Siding: These guys were fast, and I mean fast. They blazed through the demolition of the old siding, vacuum sealed the sides, and put up my new hardy board. Just like that it was done and done right. Then it was painted (well) and the house began to look brand new. Step 2: Soffit: I almost didn't spring for soffit, and that would have been a big mistake. These guys did an amazing job on the soffit which now has the under siding looking amazing!! Most impactful thing I had done. All the neighbors are jealous! Step 3: Porch: I asked for a 'beefier' porch, and that is what I got. Amazing railings and new columns. I had them put a band about a foot down from the top of the columns and they really stand out now. The railing is double thick on the top and they are taller now, and the whole thing is the envy of the neighborhood. I also asked for a 'dental trim' and expected a strip from Home Depot or something. Nope. They custom made it, curved and impactful. Above and beyond. Step 4: Gutters: The gutters they installed go so seamlessly with the soffit that you can barely tell they are there! Beautiful and they put in a complete system where some needed gutters had been left out from the initial house build. The match to the rest of the house is uncanny. Step 5: Door: This they outsourced to a guy who also blew me away with a professional install and removal of my old door. Cleanup was done after each major renovation and at finish and everything was pretty close to "move in" ready. They did destroy a cement fountain, but patched it up so you could hardly tell. (I knew I should have moved that thing out of the way!) The only non-10 out of 10 would be the trim painting on the porch and windows, which got a bit rushed with bad weather, and even that gets a 9-10, with the only little things I could catch being quite 'nit-picky'. Overall, this company delivered in spades on the goods it promised and they were very responsive throughout the whole process. I would 100% use them again without hesitation for any other external house projects!! Priced competitively and delivering results that exceeded my expectations."

Work with Tim as the lead and work through all aspects of the job and contract - Make sure you understand all of it and ask question, this is the time add things like painting the foundation or adding insulation behind the Siding which i did and the house now warmer. Keeping Siding removal and replacement is construction with many decisions you have to make as the job goes. The work Quality was Great they transformed my homes exterior, fixed issues and the folks that did the finish work were the best, the painter Fernando was stellar, he had a great attention to detail that made me aware of some other issues that when brought up were resolved properly with great care. they did such great Work that im looking to work with them again to do my Gutters with then also. they also do Roofing. wish they did other works as well as its hard to find good people like Make a Choice these days ."

"We contracted with TopStar to do siding replacement and painting of the house exterior. Hector, the project manager, was great to work with. He worked the project schedule around our needs and stayed in constant contact with us before and during the project. Both the siding and painting crews were excellent. There were professional, highly skilled, very hard workers, and maintained a clean worksite. We changed scope in the middle of the project (decided to paint the house's brickwork) and they accommodated that change easily. In fact, the whole project went much faster than we had expected. "Bob repaired wood rot on one of our entry door frames. He was easy to get in touch with, courteous, and prompt. He carved out the wood rot and replaced the area with a new piece of wood. Others quoted less, but their solution was to patch the rotted area with Bondo (wood filler) and paint over it."
