"This pro provided useful information via a virtual (online) video consultation. Since this service does not send technicians to the home, they did not do the actual work. I am considering whether to order parts and try to complete the repair myself or under their virtual direction."

"I had a question about microwave repair. He answered all my questions and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately new parts are no longer available for model in question. He gave me part # if I wanted to call around for a used part somewhere. Got lots of good info."

"I wish I had used these people earlier. I ordered a part for my dryer and was able through their instructional video to fix it myself. Let me tell you I am "mechanically challenged" in just about every way. LOL I may have cut myself through my own stupidity but I did it. it was easy and I did not have to pay a repair man for a simple fix. Thank you so much!"

"Excellent service! The technician arrived on time, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Over the years, I've had several home appliance warranty companies. Without question, Complete Appliance Protection is the best one I've ever contracted with. Their monthly price is a little higher than most, but I do have their best protection plan with $0 deductible. You get what you pay for..."

"I got the parts I ordered, they were packaged very well and Ashley was an absolute gem to deal with. I had an issue with my parts I received and she jumped right on the matter and resolved it immediately. I am completely happy with this company and will definitely use them again for any parts needed on any of my appliances. Completely professional, courteous and thorough!"

"We have a two year old LG glass top electric stove. About a year ago, the electric control panel buttons for two of the five burners started to intermittently stop responding, then quit all together.  John Park from Park Appliance Repair came out and tested/cleaned connections for all burners and the control panel and has it working like new again.  He also gave us the part number of the part that caused the problem in case it fails again in the future.   Making the appointment was a breeze.  He was on time and very professional. <br /> <br />"

"On a positive note, I do have an oil burner service contract with them (about $300 per year), and when you need burner service, they are right there (very responsive) and have had situations where this has come in very handy, saving lots of money in repair costs.  They are very responsive with emergency services, but you will need to plan ahead for routine maintenance for appointment times.  However, I am unsure if I will sign up with them again next year with an oil delivery contract. <br />"

"The repair took two separate visits, one to diagnose and the other to make the repair, as a part needed to be ordered. The repairman was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what went wrong. The only issues we had was the 4 hour window to stay home and wait for the repairman to come and the fact that the repair was not able to be fixed in one visit. Both of these issues were minimal in the grand scheme of things and we were happy with the work and even happier that we didn't have to replace the washer. <br />"

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Lincolnville, ME

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
