"Casey came out gave me a quote for replacing my water heater with tankless hot water unit. His quote and competitive quotes were close. I liked the professional personality and explained everything well. Arrived on time, completed in the time quoted, cleaned up the area he worked in. I will hire Casey again."

"Bryan and his team were able to complete my water heater replacement with timing that met my needs, and high quality work. They also changed out two valves that were leaking on a connected water line for me (for an additional charge). Pelkey Services work was efficient, clean, and met my expectations. I would work with them again, and recommend them."

"It was excellent. Douglas was very professional, courteous, and did a couple of things to make my sub pump more steady. They left the job site clean. I talked to him over the phone and he seems to be knowledgeable and had good customer service."

"Upon exposing the bare foundation wall after the flood in August 2014, I noticed that the cracks in the mortar joint had extended and in some cases, blocks themselves were cracked.  I received four quotes on this project and chose Stay Dry for a few reasons:  1) Their price was competitive, 2) their carbon fiber straps carried a life time warranty vs. a 25 year warranty from B-Dry, and 3) their system sounded stronger, as it included a neck tie system to tie the strap into the floor joist at the top of the wall and an 18" rod, with cement back fill, into the bottom two rows of blocks.  The StayDry sales rep was knowledgeable and made me very comfortable with my choice.
The crew was timely, respectful and proactive when it came to describing what had been done.  After the work was complete, the straps sit close to flush with the wall (fraction of an inch thickness) and I am confident that once I paint them, they will not be as glaringly obvious as they look right after they were installed or as a steel reinforcement I-beam.
My only disappointment, which is the cause for lowering the quality rating, is the amount of dust created.  I had read several reviews about dust throughout the house and specifically asked the sales rep 2-3 different times about how much dust would be created and how to best prepare.  I was told that there would be very little dust, as every effort is made to minimize it.  I would have guessed that this included attaching a shop vac to the concrete grinder used before application, at a minimum.  Based on what I was told, I felt that I was overly prepared for the dust.  I had two doorways sealed off, closed vents throughout the house and segregated and covered all items left in the basement.
The reality was that my entire upstairs immediately became cloudy and once everything settled there was a thin layer of dust throughout the house.  In the basement, there were literally standing piles of dust.  The walls, appliances and personal effects were covered with a thick layer of concrete dust.  One week after the job was done and after many days of cleaning, I am still finding dust on things and can't go into the basement without tracking dust throughout my house.
I would have appreciated a heads up that this is a VERY dusty job.  I would have bought even more plastic drop cloths and been more precise in covering every single item.  I would recommend covering all vents with plastic and tape.  The added preparation would have made this job much more manageable from a clean up perspective.
To be clear, I am overly satisfied with the value and the quality of the work performed, I just wish I would have received a more accurate answer about how dusty this job really is."

"Went well to this point of replacing parts. Then the United needed to have a system leak test and then needed freon put in pump. This was refused by Choice warranty. We were left with a partial repair and a heat pump not able to do it's job."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Linden, MI

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
