An inspector first recommended wall anchors, then later said I needed pylons instead?more invasive and expensive. I agreed, ultimately paying over $12,000. On installation day, the contractor was surprised a key room wasn?t surveyed, which was alarming. Groundworks also doesn?t repair drywall damage, so I paid extra for repairs. They promised a 6-month follow-up (included in the cost), but never scheduled it. I had to call multiple times, and even then they missed appointments without notice. I rearranged my schedule repeatedly for no-shows. Meanwhile, I delayed finishing my basement due to potential future damage.
