"I initially hired Mr.Handyman to investigate and fix a leak around my window. They told me on the phone based on the photos I provided that the estimate for the job will be about $775 to find and fix the source of the leak and replace the drywall. I believe they use predatory and deceitful practices to inflate the final pricing, as it ended up being far higher than original estimates. When their handyman showed up, the estimate changed to $1010. I was never verbally informed that any of these estimates did not include materials. After removing the drywall, the handyman never found the source of the leak. I had to drive out to the property to find and fix it myself. I then called the handyman to re-install the drywall after the issue was fixed. I was then given another invoice for $977, so now we are at a total $1433, of which they claim $371 is materials. They never found or fixed the actual issue as promised but still charged for the full job. I thought we were being overcharged, since the original estimate was for finding and fixing the actual source of the leak, which they never did. When I questioned the materials charge and asked for receipts, their manager told me he would not send me any receipts even though they have them in the system because "its not their protocol" and that they put an upcharge on materials. When I questioned how much % the upcharge is, or if they can provide actual pricing of the materials, he said “when you buy at Publix, you don't ask them how much they upcharge for your food". This makes no sense, as at the store I see the price before I buy something, so I can decide if I want to buy it. Mr.Handyman never provided me with pricing of materials upfront, they just sent me one final price at the end without a breakdown of materials purchased, which they can make up to be anything. This is highly unethical. If this is a cost-plus contract, they should be providing receipts."

Once the pool was filled, Justin oversaw the treatment of the water to make sure it was perfect for swimming. He was awesome! Justin stopped by weekly and sometimes twice a week to ensure the chemicals were working appropriately. He educated us about everything to know about the pool and he didn’t mind reviewing things when we had questions about pool maintenance and proper upkeep. From start to finish, the pool took seven weeks. The quality of work and attention to detail is impressive. If you are considering a pool, look no further than Larsen’s Pool and Spa. The entire staff, starting with Eric Larsen, were absolutely wonderful to work with. We highly recommend Larsen’s Pool and Spa. "It took a long time (almost six months) to obtain the materials (tiles, pavers, etc.) -- this is was mostly out of the hands of GPS Pools and due largely to global supply chain issues. Once received, the craftsmanship and skill that went into the tiling, pool resurfacing, and deck pavers was excellent. I got quotes from other providers, and GPS offered a fair and competitive price as well."
