Small jobs welcome

"I was filling out the form online for Angi. I was not sure if I was done with the process, and Hasan from Four Seasons Plumbing called me already. I told him the problem with the little hose to the water filter cracked and leaked overnight. I repeatedly asked him how much the quote was. He NEVER ONCE told me an amount. (I asked him 4 times about the quote and the fee to come out. (Precisely because if he came out, he could not do the job, then charged me for the trip out to my house). He kept saying he could come over in an hour. Since I knew it was a small job, I said fine. He came out in an hour and 40 minutes instead. I showed him the problem, before he started, I AGAIN asked him for the quote. He ignored me 3 times, started cutting the little hose, and asked if I wanted him to remove the water filter. He did just that. Nothing more. The WORST part was he already set himself up for the NEXT KILL of REPLACING my Brass Pipes under the sink in the kitchen. He was talking and talking about how it can really be a mess if the pipes burst. Then I played along with his game by asking Where Exactly is wrong, why, and how much. He said $400!!! I confirmed he is a Crook. (My father was a General Contractor. I am very handy myself. I replaced the headlights on my car.) Then he demanded $125 for cutting One Small Hose and Took Out the water filter!!!! I was floored!!! I then said a Lower Price because he Did Not do anything EXCEPT to cut a small hose. I gave him $120 because that was what my sister handed me. He left quickly. I was still trying to negotiate the price with him. He NEVER GAVE me a Receipt. I texted him the next day, asking him for a 50% refund. He started lying Claiming he gave me a quote before he came out. If he did, I would not keep asking him after he was at my house. I asked him for a partial refund, and he told me he has ALREADY PAID ANGI $65!!!!! That is his responsibility to pay Angi if he wants to advertise on Angi to get customers. Not my job! Plus, I am very sure he DID NOT PAY Angi yet, as I DID NOT FINISH THE PROCESS online, because ANGI Reached Out to me the same day and the next day to follow up with me if I still needed a plumber or a quote. I need to: 1. Make A Formal Complaint about this HORRIBLE business Practice. Hasan (if he is the owner or just a worker scamming me of the price of $125.) I WANT A PARTIAL REFUND of at least $45. ***He DID NOT DO ANY WORK OR FIX ANYTHING. That was precisely the Reason Why he wanted to come and see. After he walked in, cut one small hose and demanded $125!!! The whole time he was talking about the brass pipes that needed to be replaced, and I could call him back. 2. I Will Make a Formal Complaint to BBB about his UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICE, so no one will be scammed by this place or this man, Hasan. That's why consumers should report Both The Great Businesses and complaints about the Crooks who Rip People Off. 3. Go on YELP and expose his business and Hasan about his Scams to OVERCHARGE People. 4. Go online to all the common internet sites to give a Genuine Review of his Unethical Business Practice to Warn Others Not to use him. I intend to get at least $45 back as a REFUND. *Remember, he cut a small hose and took out the water filter. It took LESS THAN 1 Minute. A five-year-old child can do it. I can do it in 10 seconds!!!!!"

"they were able to snake thoroughly and clean the drain pipes, unclogging it. they worked on the pipes for a couple of hours, making sure they did not miss anything. I was very satisfied with the results. they are a little pricey for their services, but in my opinion, it was worth it."

"The repair to my leaking toilet was fixed well enough, after telling me my relatively new toilet water shutoff valve was broken and would need to be replaced for an extra $100. Foolishly, I did not verify this for myself. Afterward, when I was summoned to inspect the repaired toilet, I was told my toilet tank float valve that shuts off the water inside the toilet tank once it fills was broken, and that it would cost me another $50 to fix. It was NOT broken prior to his arrival. He left and said he'd contact me later that evening to arrange for a return visit to fix it. In the meantime, I found the top cap loose and tightened it. Then flushed the toilet 4 times, each time observing that the float worked as designed and the water that fills the tank shut off properly at the designated level. It has worked great ever since. He did not contact me later that night but the next day, when I told him I fixed my own shut-off valve for free, and would not need his services."

"Antonio, at Greenovative, was great. I really enjoyed his professionalism. He and his crew found creative ways to decrease the price of the project. We are happy we gave Greenovative this project. Honestly, we will use them again."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Little Neck, NY

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
