"Chase from Excel Renovation was great to work with regarding our residential garage roof leak. He was very personable and there was excellent/ professional communication in talking through the potential issue and then scheduling a time to meet. Chase ended up starting with a simpler repair approach first, re-fastening and re-sealing a roof flashing, which we agreed was the right thing to do for our type of roof leak (very small leak) and for this cold time of year (late Nov). He was very honest in what he thought was the likely issue and digging deeper right away in our case, instead of just resealing and testing first, may cause more harm than good. He would not take any money for the repair…I tried though. :-) He said to keep an eye on it during the upcoming rain and snow melt(s) and he could always dig deeper if needed in the spring, removing interior sheetrock and then applying water with a hose over suspected area on the roof. "This is the second time I have worked with Mike's company. He is always very responsive, calling me back within a day of inquiry. He has come to check out the project, gave me a detailed estimate of the project. My wooden front steps had areas of rot as did the adjoining deck.  Both needed replacing. His workers were prompt, polite and so easy to work with. Quality of the work is excellent, including iron railings constructed by one of the workers. Cleanup was great. I am very pleased with the project which was completed in 2 days. I would definitely work with Mike again and would recommend him to others who need a contractor!

"Roofing was fine, but when I called because of a leak 3 months after the warentee period, I was told the rate per roofer was $185 for the first hour and $98 per hour after that. No flexibility or willingness to work with me at all. The leak was not new just newly discovered. Does not matter. Legally they may be right but this attitude is not what customer service I want to have in my life. They will not get additional work from me."
