"Garry did a light construction project for us on a the large 2nd floor corner balcony of our master bedroom. He was very easy to work with in making all the arrangements, he arrived on time and we finished on schedule. The project was difficult and contained complicated cuts working with precise measurements. The job involved working overhead on ladders and it required me to work with Garry or to assist him most of the time. I’m not at all easy to work with, particularly for someone who does not already know me, but we worked well together and he did a good job. He cleaned everything up and helped me to set up all the furniture and appliances again. Everyone is thrilled with the new look of our balcony."

"<p>We had this company come out and give us a bid for a Bathroom Remodel.  They were quick to come out and meet us and got the quote back to us in 2 days.  We were very impressed from the beginning with the way they listened to what we wanted and also had some great ideas.  Nicest guys to work with.  </p> <p>I can't say enough about the quality of work that was done and the efficiency. The bathroom turned out beautiful and feels so new and clean.  We are planning on having them do the remaining bathrooms and then the kitchen.  I was impress at how quickly the job was done. They are very knowledgeable in what they are doing, I felt very confident in their ability and they didn't let me down!  I'll be calling them often.</p>"

"We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem. An extra bracket was included, which we also installed as this will be a large ?sail? on the side of the house and we want it to stay there. We extend our sincere thanks to the team at RetractableAwnings.com, and for those review sites that accept photographs, we include the following photo."

"It was wonderful and they did everything. They were efficient, they did a good job and they cleaned up nicely. It was difficult to find anyone to review out of it so I think the price was fair and I felt comfortable with it. It was reasonable. If I would use them again, I would also recommend them."

"The service turned out great. This was a complex job and they got everything done. They did all of the prep work and had the materials. All of the workers showed up consistently. They consulted with me on any questions and they stayed pretty close to budget. They did a really good job overall. I plan on using them again for the rest of the work."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Los Alamos, CA

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
