"I couldn't be happier with the service from Drain Designs. They were professional and nice throughout the whole experience. They clearly explained all the options and reasons behind the various quotes. We had a recent big storm, so I was able to see their completed work in action--it was great!"

"Tech called 25 min prior to scheduled apt time to cancel, he ended up coming but 90 min late. The price quoted on phone at time of apt scheduling was $69 for visit and any additional fees depended on labor and parts for job. The repair was simple and required no parts , no tools and took about 1-2 minutes to complete. The total fee was $125.00 which was not told to me until after he completed. The breakdown is $69 for visit and $56.00 for a 1-2 min job that required no tools/parts. When I questioned the tech about price he advised that was because he was experienced and no negotiation."

"They were clean, and the head guy came out to do the estimates. There were 2 or 3 workers, and when I get done tiling the floor, they will come back in to put in the vanity and stuff."

"<p> The forecast was for temps below freezing when my heater died on New Years Eve. I was given Bill Speed's number and he responded immediately. After diagnosing the problem then finding the part, he returned(after dark)to repair the unit. Bill went out of his way( on New Years Eve!) to help someone he'd never heard of. He had to make two trips to my home and drive to town for the part. This is a rural area and town isn't that close!  Bill was prompt, professional, knowledgeable and reasonably priced.</p> <br />"

"I had a flood for the first time in the crawlspace and basement. I called Regional Foundation & Crawlspace Repair to come out. They wanted 27K for crawlspace encapsulation, that was too much and I could do most the work myself. I instead paid them $5,000.00 to bury a geodrain and install a triple safe sump pump system. This is the job they did, they installed the sump pumps at the 3rd to lowest point in the crawlspace and this geodrain goes back and forth from uphill to downhill. The lowest point still allows water to flood downstairs. They also cracked a chunk of my foundation at the point of sump pumps egress. Outside they just threw rocks on ground were the water comes out and can get back into the ground to reenter the crawlspace. They got 1 star because the people were nice, their job was not. Update as of 4/23/2024 they contacted me and said they wanted to make sure everything was good. A Girl and guy came out and noticed a couple things I didn't and said they would fix it that their company does not do work like that. They dug up all the previous geodrain and moved it to walls, tried to level out the drain and changed the location of the pumps and the drain outside. She had a really good work ethic and never took a break. The guy was on the other side of house and think he did good too. Everything they did looked professional and looks like they fixed everything. They had to come back today to finish the work today, but had three of them. It all looks good and they tested everything. They apologized about the old work and were not sure went wrong, but I don't have a negative view of the company now and am satisfied with the work they did. Just nocking one star for the under trained individuals that came the first time, the second crew was great!"

"He came out to our house at no charge for the initial consultation. He arrived on site right on time to perform the installation, with everything he needed. (Contractors don't always have to run out to pick up something else to finish the job, but enough of them do that I thought it worth mentioning.) He did the job pretty quickly, and stayed to make sure everything was working properly before he left. While there, he instructed me on everything I needed to know to maintain the system myself. This was several years ago. Ever since, whenever we've needed any replacement parts for annual maintenance, or additional filters or chemicals, he's always been able to provide quickly, and still at a fair price."

"We lost our water late on Saturday afternoon, so for the remainder of the weekend we used bottle water for drinking and cooking and water we keep for flushing for situations such as this. I called Ferguson's at 8AM on Monday and was told they could come by in a little while. David and Eddie arrived 45 minutes later, diagnosed the problems (burned out switch and broken bladder in tank) and advised the cost of repair. They went to work pulling out the old tank from the crawl space and replaced it and the switch. Beginning to end about 45 minutes. So from initial phone call to the resumption of flowing water--90 minutes. We couldn't be happier or more grateful to have running water. <br />"

"Great! They were on time, knew exactly what they were doing, and finished all replacements in less than an hour (including the time to go get the needed replacement fixtures). Both technicians were very friendly and polite, and even provided a little education on some cost-saving possibilities for future lighting projects. We haven't been billed yet, but the estimate was $250 (plus materials), which we felt was reasonable for all the work they accomplished."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Louisburg, NC

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
