I provide carpentry solutions and handyman services for central and south Alabama, South Georgia and North Florida. My education background is in Finance from Auburn University, but my passion has always been woodwork. My start in carpentry/ construction began in general woodwork for custom home builders on Lake Martin in central Alabama. Due to the good fortune of connecting with trusting clientele, I have expanded my list of providable services over the years since this time! It is my opinion that my core competency and overall value offering eliminates the two largest setbacks that consistently prove to be problematic in this line of work… Communication and Price. I provide a solution to what seems to be the newfound industry standard of “subcontractors.” Cut out all the miscommunication that comes from discussing your project with one person, just to have another person complete it. If the person you are paying is not the person completing the work, you are PAYING TOO MUCH!

"Kevin's company did a great job. They replaced the damaged shingles and they look flat and perfect. They also sealed and secured the neighboring shingles that were bending up. Overall, it is a great job and I will recommend them to other customers."

"Al was very kind and straightforward. He did initially tried to charge me a little more than the average for the area but after I explained that I had done research for the labor costs and already have materials he got the cost significantly also mention that you found him on Angie's List. I am very pleased with how the floor looks they did a very quick job some very weird layouts because my house is strange though I love its eccentricity. Though it takes a long time to book him because he is usually busy he works very fast, but not sloppily, and the work was completed in approximately 4 days with a small crew of three one of whom was his son. we are almost done with most of our work but I'm a call him back for some minor repairs thing that needs to be completed the only complaint I have is that at least one of the workers is a smoker and I found a few cigarette butts in my yard or in the bushes next to where they were sawing which was not very pleasant. That is a minor complaint though because as contractors go they show up on time and they get the work done and they get the work done well; which, I don't know if you use very many contractors, is unusual and a good thing. Overall I would use them again in a heartbeat and I would suggest them to other people.

He worked with me around my schedule and was always in contact with me during the installation of my kitchen sink cabinet.. I am going to be installing the kitchen wall cabinets at a later date and I am definitely going to be using Calen for this project also. He is very professional and I thoroughly enjoyed working with him"

"Meadow Exteriors did a bang up job on both counts. My gutters and downspouts were packed with roofing dust. He had to take my downspouts apart and dig the gunk out. I mentioned how badly my basement flooded so he took a look and suggested waterproofing the walls. The price was reasonable, and he flat knocked it out in a hurry. I have not had a leak since, and my area has had a lot of rain to prove it worked.

"Jim did a complete gut job of tackroom, wood ceiling, wood siding on walls, install and painting of cabinets, doors and other. Re worked breaker box and corrected mistakes of others. Installed on demand hot water heater and washing machine and dryer hook ups. Electric baseboard heater. Butcher block counter, sink and facet. Recessed lighting and ceiling fan. All done to perfection! Currently making me 4 Dutch doors and framing for my horse stalls. Next he will be painting the wash rack and then 4 board black fence. After that Iâ m sending him to my kids house for bathroom and kitchen projects!"
