We've bought multiple lamps and lighting equipment materials from him. He's repaired many of our older lamps. ALWAYS such friendly and professional experiences. We did a major bathroom and kitchen remodel and he provided guidance, expertise and a great price on lighting needs for that. One doesn't need lights/lamps every day, but over the years I keep coming back because he's so knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and it's just always a great experience. "A neighbor uses Hemax. We called them the day after the ice storm and asked if they coud shovel our driveway. They said they charge $75 per person per hour and, depending on the size of our driveway, it could take 4-5 persons 4-5 hours. They came on Tuesday with 2 men and a plow. They finished the job in exactly an hour. We got an invoice 3 days later for $450, with no explanation how that figure was arrived at. When I called, I was told it included travel time. I said their company is a half hour from our house so that made no sense. I asked that the charge be reconsidered. When I called again, I was told they have a 6 hour minimum ($75/hr for 6 hours is $450) for any job. No minimum had been mentioned before. I asked for a manager to call me but have heard nothing. They did good work but we won?t use them again."
