"A1 Handyman & Plumbing Services saved my house. I moved into a home built in 1925 and after three months noticed an open, leaking pipe in the basement ceiling. Water was pouring out of it, to provide a more accurate description. Sean from A1 came to the house. He investigated the leaking pipe further and discovered not only serious plumbing issues (multiple pipes connected to the same main drainage pipe) but also an abandoned oil tank was hidden behind the drywall; the consequences of neglect and thriftiness from the previous owners. The huge tank made it impossible to reroute the pipes properly. Sean removed the oil tank, ripped up the subfloor, and reorganized the pipes correctly. The inspector had failed to see this issue and the previous owners did not disclose it. Sean's honesty and professionalism was a blessing and a nice change of a pace from my homeowning experience to date. He also replaced a malfunctioning sump pump with a new one with new piping. After the work was done, he explained what he did and showed us how to monitor the sump pump. He also clearly advised us about another potential problem that concerns us - a main/meter shut off valve. There was no high sales pressure. I often do not respond to unknown names or numbers. In fact, the first two times the tech called I did not answer because a strange company name came up not Zoom. The other thing was pricking I felt they were high almost $280 to clear my drain using a snake. The tech was on time friendly cleaned up after himself and prepped the area to avoid leaks. My problem was resolved quickly."
