"HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Prior to the paint job, they came twice--once for the estimate and the second time to apply test colors on the walls. On the second visit, painter carefully looked over all the surfaces, making recommendations for types of paint for each surface (flat, eggshell, semi-gloss) and use of accent colors. On the first day of the job, kraft paper was rolled out and taped onto the floor, from the door to the central location where the supplies were placed. All surfaces were covered prior to any work beginning. Walls were meticulously prepared prior to painting. Work began when they said it would and was completed in a timely manner. Cleanup was thorough. I highly recommend J & J Popular Painting!"

"It was a pleasure working with Mr. Shapiro and his Staff. They were professional, reliable and to my surprise compassionate to my situation. After, my father had an accident in the tub, it became necessary to have the bathroom remodel to handicapped standards to prevent future accident. Mr. Shapiro was very compassionate in not only handling my fathers needs but also completing the job in a timely manner so that it will not inconvenience my father for too long. In less than 3 weeks the job was completed , just in time for my Dad to celebrate Christmas in his apartment. The work done was beautiful and although, there were minor setback Mr. Shapiro handle the situation in a responsible and professional manner. "Dan is very professional, very concerned with providing great customer service and satisfaction. He knows what he is doing and does a good job. My only concern is the amount of time that it took to do the job, from 45 min to 1 hour per shelf. His rate is $40 per hour and i think it is fair, but i wished he was a bit more expedited. He offers discounts if customer does not think the final price is fair... I guess this happens especially if it is a job that requires many hours. He spent two full days in my house.... Only half the shelves are installed. Two shelves he installed were not leveled so he had to redo them and did not fix the holes on the walls... But he was going to come back, so i didnt think it was a big deal. I communicated to him my concern around the amount of time that he takes, both for the money and my own time! since i need to take days off of work to be at home to do this work...and he was willing to work with me, and we reached an agreement. Minutes later, he contacted me to complain that a bank, different than my bank, didnt want to cash my second check for him, and that having to go to a check cashing store was a game changer for him. I asked how much was the fee, but he never told me. I didnt know how to help him and didnt understand exactly where he was going with that sudden complain. The truth is that i have been with the same bank for 20 years and this is the first time that soemone complains about not being able to cash a check. He should have gone to a Space Coast Credit Union branch, there are 8 in Broward County. This is unrelated to the actual service he provides, but certainly, it is an aggravation and given that i am not satisfied with the speed or price for his work, then i decided to cancel the appointments we had set for next week.
