"The crew from Groundworks was amazing! Quick, efficient, and very professional. Esteban, Micheal, and Oscar did a great job and were friendly. Esteban did a superior job communicating everything to me including when they would arrive and leave the job and their daily progress. I would highly recommend this company if you need work done."

"Classic Pest Control and Insulation is fantastic to work with. We dealt with many other companies and contractors as part of a bigger project, and Classic was clearly the best. We called them in after checking out some other companies. They were by far the most knowledgeable and professional and did the best work. We originally hired them to remove and reinstall our attic insulation as part of a bigger project (mold remediation). However, we ended up hiring them to take care of our crawl space and pest control when another well-known company failed to follow up and complete the job properly. They removed, cleaned, reinsulated, and provided pest remediation for both our attic and crawlspace. Everyone I dealt with from the office staff, manager, estimator, installers, and pest control tech was courteous, organized, and very knowledgable. They were also flexible as we had to coordinate around work being done by another contractor. They did a great job on both our attic and crawl space. Our home is noticeably warmer in the cold weather, the pests are taken care of, and the work is of good quality and done properly. Good people who do good work can be hard to find, and I would whole-heartedly recommend Classic Pest Control and Insulation to my friends and family. They earned it. Elizabeth, Camano Island"

"It was excellent. They performed insulation quickly and efficiently. The cost was in-line with the quote. I was very satisfied with their work and I would use them again. Their price was fair. "

"I scheduled the work for early November thinking the job was a three day affair.  We did not have another bathroom so I needed it done as efficiently as possible, we have 900 sq feet so everything was in disorder.  The contractor rescheduled with me, the day before he was supposed to come for the following week. When he did come, he met me at the hardware store to help me choose items, and to get supplies.  He was on time and communicative, and helped me understand the remodel process.    After working to take out the tub, he did not return for the week, did not call or answer my calls or texts, then finally he called, returning on the weekend. <br />  I felt as if he did good work and did not cut corners and had some integrity about his workmanship. So he went ahead with the second part of the remodel: putting in some new drywall and the ceiling fan and heater.  However, things started to disintegrate, he never came when he said or was late and did not always call. He always had a seemingly legitimate excuse. But in the end a 6-7 maybe 8 day job took over a month!  I ended up finishing the job myself:  painting and putting up new towel racks. <br /> Its a shame, I thought his workmanship good but can't ask him back for the third part of the remodel. It's almost Christmas and I'm painting the bathroom! <br />"

FAQs for foundation, basement or crawlspace waterproofing / encapsulation projects in Lynden, WA

The most affordable way to waterproof your basement is with interior methods like waterproof paint, costing between $1 and $8 per square foot, or silicate concrete sealers priced at $4 to $6 per square foot. However, these solutions are only suitable for certain issues. If your basement moisture is due to more serious problems like a cracked foundation, you'll need more extensive (and costly) repairs.

Absolutely! Waterproofing your basement is a smart investment that can increase your home's value. By keeping your basement dry and free of moisture problems, you protect your home's structural integrity and make it more appealing to potential buyers. Plus, taking proactive measures now can prevent costly water damage repairs down the line.

The time required to waterproof a basement depends on the selected method. Some approaches to interior waterproofing, like paint or sealant, can be completed within a day. Installing new drains or weeping tiles will need at least two to three days of labor. Any forms of exterior waterproofing that require you to excavate land will require an additional three days of work to prepare the ground.

Yes, basement waterproofing can significantly increase your home's value. A dry, leak-free basement is a strong selling point for potential buyers, enhancing your property's desirability and market price. Investing in professional waterproofing not only protects your home's structural integrity but also ensures a healthier living environment by preventing mold and mildew growth.

Waterproofing both the interior and exterior of your basement offers the best protection against moisture. Exterior waterproofing stops water from penetrating your foundation, while interior methods manage any moisture that does enter. If you must choose one, exterior waterproofing is generally more effective, as it prevents water from reaching your home's interior in the first place.
