"They came out with a group of helper able to work simultaneously on inside and outside electrical wiring. The job was completed very fast. Good supervision and execution: the project consisted of installing 1 outdoor security light and drilling a hole to inside to connect to AC-plug outlet inside the house. It works great and was accomplished fast."

"Our outdoor lighting, ceiling fans, and outlets all stopped working. Justin from Lonestar evaluated everything and was able to fix the situation. He went above and beyond explaining to me what he found to the be problem, what he was doing to fix it, as well as what to look for in the future, and what would likely need to be an improvement to our current breaker board if we were to have further issues. He was a true professional and made me feel well-taken care of as a customer. I highly recommend his services!"

"Mike, Ryan, and team were great. They were complete professionals who arrived on time and completed the installation as stated. Mike worked us on our budget while putting together a lighting presentation of our backyard that resembles and reminds us of our trips to Hawaii and their resorts. We are very pleased with the results and would not only use Mike and his team in the future but would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a magnificent lighting experience. BTW, Mike comes back at night to fine tune the lights and to make sure his customers are fully satisfied."

"Their lighting is good. They are a little pricey, but the service is good. This was the install date they put the whole system. They did a good job. They installed more than what was required. The price was very competitive."

"We loved everything about this team. The installers answered all my questions about the operation of the lights. Brandon & Kristen went the extra mile when they came out in the rain for a follow-up visit. Kristen even brought chocolate candy and a thank you card. This remarkable team was very professional and informative. I highly recommend them. The lights are functioning and beautiful around my home!"

"

Got estimates from 3 electrical companies on Angie's List in December.  Ron Childers came to estimate my replacement panel and the grounding of the gas and cold water rods up to code. LED's bid was very reasonable and their warranty was for 3 years covering  labor and parts. One of the other company's price was the same; however, their warranty was for only 90 days.

Since I didn't have to work on Jan, 18, that date was chosen to complete the replacement . Gabe replaced my 1970s panel with a new GE panel - 100 amp - and updated the grounding work.  Job was completed in 5 hours. Very pleased with experience.

"Exactly like every other time I've contracted with Arise - perfectly. Mr. Merkey and his crews are amazing - professional and courteous, yes. But again and again, they go the extra mile. I would never consider using a different electrician. Our home is completely safe in their hands. Mr. Merkey is not just the best electrician we've ever used. He and his company are the best contractors of any kind. Really can't say enough good about them."

"Before the City dug, Ramon moved 12+ feet of stacked rock from around the front flower bed to protect it. After the City finished their work, Ramon re-built the rock retaining wall, extending it to cover the new (WHITE) clean-out pipe installed right in front. He added some extra rock from the back of our yard, hard work on a hot day. He added a 2nd sprinkler head to the bigger flower bed & filled it with good soil & new plants. Looks great! Ramon noticed our front lawn sprinklers weren't working, so dug a long trench to find the line. City workers had cut the line & fixed it a twist of wire! Ramon got the correct supplies & fixed that, too. He does good work and works hard. We'll recommend him to friends."

FAQs for outdoor lighting plan and installation projects in Magnolia, TX

Permit requirements for outdoor lighting vary depending on your location and project scope. Simple fixture replacements don't require permits, but projects involving new electrical circuits, extensive trenching, or significant system expansions often do. Local building departments establish these requirements, and many professional electricians handle permit applications as part of their service package.

The timeline for outdoor lighting installation varies based on project complexity. Basic systems might require only one to two days for complete installation, while extensive lighting networks with numerous fixtures and complex wiring needs could extend to a week or longer. Weather conditions, property accessibility, and soil characteristics can all influence how quickly professionals can complete your installation.

Outdoor lighting offers both practical and aesthetic benefits that many homeowners find valuable. Beyond enhancing nighttime visibility and security, well-designed lighting can highlight architectural features and extend outdoor living hours. While installation represents a significant investment, quality lighting may potentially increase property appeal and could contribute to overall home value.

Some outdoor lighting projects are suitable for homeowner installation, particularly simple solar fixtures or low-voltage systems that plug into existing outlets. However, projects requiring new electrical connections, permanent wiring, or integration with home electrical systems demand professional expertise. Electrical work carries inherent safety risks, and improper installation could create fire hazards or code violations.

The operating cost for outdoor lighting depends primarily on your fixture types, bulb selection, and usage patterns. Energy-efficient LED fixtures consume significantly less electricity than traditional incandescent or halogen alternatives. Controlling your lighting with timers, photocells, or motion sensors can further reduce energy usage by ensuring lights operate only when needed or beneficial.
