Small jobs welcome

"Coastal Granite and Marble demonstrated excellent attention to detail and wonderful quality of work. I wish all contractors were as good at their work as Luis and his staff. They did the installation of a premium Caesarstone for us, building out a 4' x 7' island with waterfall edges at both ends, and a slab join for the bend in the 78sqf countertop. We hope to be hiring them again for counters for our laundry room, using a lower price material for that project. They were certainly good enough to hire again."

"The workmanship was impeccable by this local business! Sinan took time walking me around the show room while I took my samples out and took pictures to show my husband. We agreed on a granite slab and requested it to be held for us. We went to the show to sign the contract an before we sat down in the office, Sinan suggested we go take a look at the slap to make sure it was what we wanted and to see what we were paying for and the sink that we wanted. The following Friday evening they installed the countertops (5 men = 3 hours). The Saturday after that (due to a weather delay because cutting is done outdoors), we had a matching back splash installed by two men (4 1/2 hours). Ken took the time to make a few samples as I had requested and surprised me with a cutting board from the slab. I am beyond pleased with the work that they did and how professional they were, I highly recommend this company and the team effort. Thank you to all who made our kitchen look so fabulous!"

"Very pleased with the service. The owner, Chris, went out of his way to answer all of my inquiries with detailed explanations and suggestions. He also made sure, every step of the way, that the job was done to my satisfaction. And it was! Punctual. Professional. Office staff were courteous and efficient. Alex, who prepared proposals for all of the work, was professional and efficient. He also had an uncanny eye for detail, and picked out some things that my contractor had missed. So glad I had Sir Grout do this work to preserve my new ceramic floors and shower, and to provide some much needed restoration to two older showers that were showing some serious wear and tear. Excellent, competitive pricing. This company aims to please. I strongly recommend Sir Grout of Manasquan."

"My husband and I are so glad we hired The Stone Shop to install our new kitchen countertops. Frank the owner came to our home to measure. We went to the showroom a few days later and he gave his expertise advice . They look absolutely beautiful and the workers were excellent. They were extremely careful and cleaned up nicely. I couldnâ t be happier. I highly recommend The Stone Shop."

FAQs for stone slab countertops installation (granite, marble, quartz, etc) projects in Manalapan Township, NJ

Soapstone countertops are durable, environmentally friendly, easy to maintain, non-porous, heat-resistant, and naturally antibacterial. They resist stains and cracks, making them a practical and long-lasting choice. However, soapstone has limited color options and can have visible seams in larger installations. It may also scratch or chip if not handled carefully and tends to have a higher initial cost than other materials. Overall, if you're looking for a functional and aesthetically pleasing countertop, soapstone is a solid choice despite these minor drawbacks.

Soapstone countertops typically come in light to dark gray, often with blue or green undertones. One of the unique features of soapstone is that it deepens in color over time, developing a rich patina that adds to its charm. Each slab is unique, with natural streaks and veining that become more pronounced as the countertop ages, giving your kitchen or bathroom a dynamic and evolving look.

With proper care, soapstone countertops can last 50 years or more. Regular cleaning with mild detergents and occasional applications of mineral oil to enhance the natural patina will keep your countertops looking beautiful. Thanks to its durable nature, soapstone stands up well for daily use, making it a wise long-term investment for your home.

Sealing isn't necessary for soapstone countertops. Soapstone is naturally non-porous and antibacterial, resists stains, and doesn't harbor bacteria. While you don't need to seal it, applying mineral oil occasionally can enhance its natural beauty and help develop a rich patina over time. This simple maintenance keeps your countertop looking its best for years to come.
