I had a gas leak last week in the heart of the coldest weather in ten years: PSE&G just shut off the gas and left; and Alex was the only plumber who responded, to my urgent calls for help as the house cooled down. He was reassuring, came that day to take a look, arrived punctually with a helper the next day, and did a 3-hour repair (it involved work outside and in a crawl space) quickly, efficiently, and professionally. He cleaned up thoroughly, and left me with heat back on and hot water restored. PSE&G came the next day to remove the red tag and approve his work. All this for a third of the price the big companies wanted to charge me! "Paul did a great job, as usual. I had an outdoor water faucet that's been steadily losing water pressure, to the point that it was mostly unusable. The problem was a clogged galvanized section of pipe, which he replaced with proper copper piping. He also found a small leak that I didn't even know about in the basement pipes. He replaced a crazy looking shower arm/head with something that now looks like it was installed by a professional. He checked the bathroom and kitchen sinks for any leaks and replaced a jiggling handle on a toilet that was causing it to run after flushing. If you're looking for a great plumber, look no further.
