"After several moves with the military to our forever home, we wanted to have our furniture cosmetically touched up, as it had incurred some nicks and scratches, with a few faded areas from heavy use. The kitchen in our new house also had been refinished several years ago, but the previous owners had been rough with the cabinets, leaving some scrapes and scratches. Eric did a fantastic job touching up all our furniture, which looks so much better now that all the scratches are filled and the faded areas blended. "The Kitchen and Bath Studio just completed a MAJOR kitchen remodel for me, for a rather large size kitchen (the pictures included do not do it justice). Dan and his crew were amazing, and went beyond what was required for the project. After dealing with Dan and his team, I have no idea why anyone in Maryland would want to use any other company for any of their major home remodeling projects. My husband and I are extremely picky, and we did not have ONE complaint or issue during the entire remodeling project, which involved a complete demolition, redesign, flooring, cabinets, painting, backsplash, appliances, plumbing, electrical, etc. Those that know me will say that it is extremely rare for me not to find some issue during a major project, so I believe that Dan (The Kitchen and Bath Studio) is equivalent to a real Unicorn :). Dan paid attention to details (some of which were major) that NO other kitchen remodeler ever inquired about, and we got five other estimates! He truly cares about the quality of work from his team, is a true perfectionist, and is very patient throughout the entire design process, as I (painfully) changed my mind a number of times on the overall design. His estimate was MUCH more competitive than the others I received; one thing that I noticed when reviewing all the other estimates was that the competitors all used lower-grade materials, while Dan used higher end, better quality products, and still had a better estimate! His entire team is hardworking, completely trustworthy, and extremely kind; because of this, I had no problem leaving my house when they were there during the course of the project. If there was a rating above A+, Dan and his crew would most certainly get it. I will absolutely, without a doubt, use them for any additional projects we have moving forward. I highly recommend The Kitchen and Bath Studio!"

"I ordered the shelves in February 2015, and they were installed in April.  The shelves seemed fine (although expensive).  In early September a brace on the underside of one of the upper shelves came loose and hung down, blocking the shelves from "gliding" in and out of the cabinet.  I called Shelf Genie several times in September and October and emailed them, asking them to come and fix the hanging brace.  No response.  No call back.  No email back.  By good fortune another contractor was here working on some shelves, and when he saw the problem he volunteered to fix it, so the brace has been fixed.  But no thanks to Shelf Genie.    To be clear this was Shelf Genie of Northern Virginia & Washington, DC.    The franchisee was Cabinet Magic, Inc. Lead designer was Joe Johnson.  Installer was Jim Burgess. <br /> <br /> <br /> UPDATE -- October 30, 2015:  Within an hour of my posting this review I got an email from Joe Johnson apologizing, saying he had sold the franchise and perhaps my messages/emails got lost in the transition, and a phone call from Jim Burgess, also apologizing and offering to come fix the shelves.   Since the problem had already been addressed I declined his offer."
