"JUST WOW! AWESOME! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU VANDERHOOF ROOFING COMPANY FOR EXEMPLARY WORK! After a 6 year wait to 'get to the roof'... (Oye vay, our house had needed a lot of work, so we did the inside, and landscaping first.. while the roof waited patiently) This month we FINALLY scheduled to have our - very old, badly maintained, bondoed.. duct taped.. (from WAY back) ..mess of a flat roof ... TOTALLY FIXED! We interviewed 3 companies and went with VANDERHOOF. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we have made since moving to the area. Vanderhoof came in with a swat team of capable roofers, and worked like a band of Army Engineers. They tore off DECADES of badly done roof work, layer after layer after layer. (What a mess of construction debris!) At the end of every work day, they left our yard immaculate. Then they built, and built, and restructured, and redesigned. (Flat roofs need expert attention). The work took a bit longer than they estimated due to the amazing number of layers to be removed, and their painstaking rebuilding process - but the Syracuse weather cooperated *(!!) and the work finished yesterday and it looks fantastic! (Photo shows NEW SPECTACULAR FLAT ROOF! Later I'll dig out the original roof.. it looked like a moonscape of bulbous waves and misguided historic attempts to mesh a labyrinth of disconnected ill selected materials. (We inherited it in 2016. ) I can't recommend Vanderhoof highly enough."

"Beautiful new windows installed expertly by head carpenter and his assistant. Old windows were a mess and drafty. New windows are such an improvement. The installation itself was done so well. The McClurg people truly have some great craftsmen on their team. I had three companies come for estimates, a very well known company and another company with very good reviews on Angie's. This price was by far the fairest with excellent results."

"It's been a 3 year process, because for some reason, the chimney kept pealing.  On Friday, the workers came back to finish and went above and beyond what I expected. They sealed it all above and around the roof area, painted it twice and made it look better than it ever has.I am sure I have not mentioned all that they actually did.  My neighbor was so impressed, he asked for an estimate on his chimney.  One disappointment is that I thought the whole chimney was going to  be stuccoed all the way through it. I must say it does look very good and actually, the best looking chimney of it's type in my neighborhood. David's workers are very conscientious and care about the quality of their work. <br />"

"<p>I received estimates from six contractors but chose Bob Pascal because of his obvious knowledge of the work to be performed, and also because of his great reviews here on Angie's list. It was a very good decision indeed.<br /> Bob showed up when he said he would, and he completed the work on time and as promised. He and his brother Jack did all the work themselves, and were professional and courteous during the entire project. It's clear that they really take pride in the work they do. Customer satisfaction is obviously their number one priority.</p> On the first day they dismantled the old chimney, carefully removed all the concrete and bricks and then placed all the debris into their trailer. On the second day on-site they built the new chimney with great looking bricks, made the forms for the concrete crown at the top of the chimney, and poured the concrete. I was amazed they were able to accomplish that much in one day. On the third day they installed the new copper flashing around the base of the chimney and replaced all of the roofing shingles that needed replacing. Because the concrete crown was not adequately dry on this date, they returned the next day to remove the forms and finish the job. <br /> I watched their progress throughout the entire project and am convinced I could not have found anyone to do this job any better than they did. At the end of each day they carefully cleaned up the entire area, - driveway, yard, etc. <br /> I am very happy that I chose Robert Pascal Chimney and Roofing Restorations for my chimney project. I definitely recommend Bob Pascal for any project you need to have done. <br />"

"Outstanding workmanship and attention to detail, 5 stars! It was clear from the get-go that the owner Phil takes a great deal of pride in his work, and has a remarkable blend of knowledge and expertise and great work ethic. He and his assistant completed this project on schedule and with no cost overruns. They were extremely courteous and willing to address our questions. Phil also took the time to call a few different suppliers to get us the best pricing on our custom-sized chimney cap. We were referred to Phil by our roofer as well as staff at 2 masonry supply shops who gave glowing recommendations. Second recommendation was unsolicited and came after work was already in progress. We were selecting bricks for the project and asked the salesperson (who we had randomly selected) how well they would hold up to Syracuse weather. He said it all depended on the install. I stated we were having a contractor do the work, and he started sharing shoddy workmanship horror stories.
