"We called and a lady answered. We were told that service might be done on that day. Several hours later, the technician called us. He came about one hour later and started checking the appliances. The microwave, which suddenly stopped working, needed a new fuse. Within 20 minutes after the technician's arrival, it started working again, He next checked the dryer, which kept rotating when the door was open. He told us it needed a door switch replaced and gave us a quote. We agreed and it was repaired quickly. He gave us one year warranty for the switch, All together, we paid $247.81 (after $10 off coupon from Angie's list). "Sean Foust of H&S Appliance Service showed up on time, was very pleasant, and listened closely to my explanation of the problem. Modern refrigerator doors have a latch at the top which "grab" a little post to lock in closed position. This latch was broken on the left-hand door. Sean carefully examined the door, installed the new latch that we had previously purchased, and then examined the other door as well to see if there were any problems. He recommended lubricating the inner door seal to make the doors close more easily, and we've done that. The door is fixed and works like new.
I would definitely use H&S Appliance Service again. Sean knew exactly what to do. My husband is pretty good a DIY and fix-it projects, but he didn't know how to do this job. We were glad to find a company that could fix this problem so straightforwardly with a person with a pleasant and helpful disposition.
Considering how difficult and time-consuming this would have been for my husband?if he could have made the repair?we consider the cost very fair and reasonable. I think it would have cost us a lot more if we'd tried to do it ourselves.
