"Ariel from Lifetime Construction inspected the damage to my wall and intelligently discussed what needed to be done to repair it. He was knowledgeable and gave me what I thought was a fair quote of $1,800. The two other quotes I got for the same job were for $2,950. and $4,800. I am very familiar with home construction work as I have lived in my home since 1961 and have had 2 major add-ons and several inside remodels done during the past 59 years. Lifetime Construction showed up precisely on time for appointments ( a rarity among contractors) and performed the work as contracted. I would definitely use them again. Sincerely, Dr. Jerry Karasick"

"This was the second project that I have hired TCH to do. It's so nice to be able to hire one contractor and have the same people do all of the work (plumbing, carpentry, tile work, etc.,) instead of having to hire a different company for each part of the project, or have a company sub out the work. TCH has the best personnel, always punctual and very cooperative. Regularly checking with me to be sure the job gets done the way I expected. They were very careful to protect all areas from dust and debris and made an exceptional effort to clean up at the end of each day and when the job was completed. I also think the price was reasonable. Thanks go out to both Cory's for all of their hard work. Another expert job by TCH."

"They came out and gave an estimate, then sent someone over to remove the trim and check for further damage.  They removed old fiberglass insulation and put foam insulation around door frame.  They took the wood trim with them and found matching trim.  The painter/stainer did a great job getting the stain to match.  They came back to install the trim and refinish some of the base wood on the bottom of the door frame.  The were always very courteous, promptly showed up at the agreed times, and cleaned up after they were done.  I was very impressed that they were willing to do such a small job and the price was extremely reasonable.  Everyone seemed very competent at what they were doing, and I would definitely hire them again.  They also suggested that insulation in the garage attic may help prevent further ice dams and referred us to another company to have that work done. "

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Maple Plain, MN

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
