"Rome came the next day, explained everything, and most importantly he was a guy I instantly felt I could trust. No games just an experienced concrete guy fixing our concrete problem. Will hire again and recommend to others."

"Island Concrete LLC installed a concrete driveway for me quickly (one day) and at an affordable price. The owner, Island, was present from start to finish to supervise and take part in the job. This was very reassuring."

"I had a driveway that is 56 years old and in need of replacement/repair. After discussing this with Brian and Sarah, I decided to have the old driveway torn out and replaced. I was pleased with the quoted price and agreed to go with their company. Their work was done on time and is outstanding."

"We hired Eloy after getting 5 bids. We liked his approach to the project and his bid was very competitive. Eloy has great customer service. He responds quickly to emails and texts. He was very prompt and was on time for every step of the process. If he said he was going to show up at specific time he was there. His tear down of the old driveway and path was very efficient. He didn't damage anything other than the driveway. He took time to help eliminate water that was under our old driveway and make recommendations on other fixes. His crew that poured the new driveway worked hard and did any amazing job. The quality of their work is outstanding. I couldn't believe how clean our yard looked after Eloy had cleaned up. I would highly recommend Eloy and his crew. Their work was top notch."

"This company was very professional yet easy to work with. They gave us a great competitive bid and scheduled us in a timely manner. They answered all questions right away. The project was finished in 2 days (1 day to take out old driveway and get it ready for the concrete and day 2 was the concrete pour). They will not pour new concrete when itâ s raining. All members of the team were very polite and they respected our property. I would recommend them to you for your business."

"The nicest and hardest working construction crew and company Iâ ve ever dealt with. Extremely excellent customer service. Employees showed up several minutes earlier than expected every morning. The large crew always work together along with the boss doing a lot of grunt work himself. They laughed and really seem to enjoy doing their job together as a team. We could not be happier with the driveway that we have waited for for 10 years."

"I needed an old driveway demolished and a new one (5") poured on a sloping property. He installed drains and was able to contour the surface for optimal parking angle. The whole project took three days as Joseph had promised. So far I'm pretty happy with the project."

"I called Doug for an estimate and he got back to me quickly by text.  He took at look at my property and gave me a bid for the job.  I also had other bids for the job but I was impressed with the fact that he had all of the steps included in the bid that we knew should be included in this concrete repair job.  Doug and his crew arrived on the job as scheduled and the job was completed on schedule.  I was impressed by the knowledge of Doug and his crew about concrete, thickness, cure time, etc. - all of them knew what they were doing, that was obvious.  I went with an aggregate finish and it looks great.  Doug even added a step at my back door for me with the left over cement.  I would definitely hire them again for concrete pouring needs.

FAQs for concrete driveways & floors installation projects in Maple Valley, WA

Whether terrazzo is better than porcelain or ceramic tiles for a kitchen or bathroom floor depends on your design preference. Terrazzo can last a long time, but so can a properly installed ceramic tile floor. According to the National Association of Home Builders, the lifespan of a ceramic tile floor is 75 to 100 years, similar to terrazzo.

You should clean terrazzo floors like you would marble, even if there’s no marble in the aggregate. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the polished surface, and steer clear of acidic cleaners like vinegar, which can damage the surface. Instead, use plain water or a neutral cleaner to mop the floor. Then, use a wet vac or squeegee to remove the dirty water. Regular buffing with a soft cloth can help you maintain the shine.

Terrazzo is made by mixing an aggregate like glass or stone with a binder like cement or epoxy. The mix is made and poured into the prepared space you designate. Alternatively, you can purchase prefabricated terrazzo tiles, which consist of similar materials. They’re poured into a mold and cured before installation.

You can add radiant heating under a terrazzo floor, which is an excellent way to combat the naturally cold surface of terrazzo floors. Installing radiant heating costs $1,653 to $6,656. You'll want to install the heating elements under the thin-set epoxy because the layer is thin enough for the warmth to conduct through the floor.

Making your own terrazzo can be a tricky DIY project. The exact mix takes a blend of art and skill to create and requires the expertise of a terrazzo pro. The wrong blend could crack, peel, or break easily, requiring expensive repairs. Finishing and polishing the floor also requires previous experience to achieve a professional appearance. Expect to pay between $200 and $2,500 for the cost of restoring and polishing floors.

Terrazzo flooring is eco-friendly because it is crafted using recycled materials such as glass, marble, and polished metal, and its epoxy binder emits no VOCs once cured. This sustainable manufacturing approach minimizes waste and supports green building practices. Homeowners gain an attractive flooring option, contributing to healthier indoor air quality and environmental conservation.
