"We contracted with A Aart?s & Tim?s Quality Pluming to <br /> replace a water heater. They said it would be $1,700 for the water heater, <br /> installation, disposal of old water heater and the necessary permit from the <br /> city. <br />   <br /> It was not delivered when it was supposed to be, so after <br /> calls to the plumbing company we arranged a delivery the next day. When we <br /> arrived for the delivery, it was sitting on the sidewalk. <br />   <br /> Mike, the plumber, said he could not get the water heater <br /> into the basement because the company would not provide him a dolly. Mike and <br /> my husband carried it down the basement. Mike said he had been working with the <br /> company only two weeks but had been a plumber for more than twenty years. <br />   <br /> Mike performed the work and it was performed well. The old <br /> heater was left in the basement to drain and Mike said he would be back with <br /> another guy the next day to pick it up and dispose of it. <br />   <br /> After going back and forth a few times, the company said <br /> they just couldn?t find time in the next few days to get the old one out of the <br /> basement so another company could pick it up. <br />   <br /> Finally, Mike and my husband went to the basement and got <br /> the old water heater out to the sidewalk where we were assured that it would be <br /> picked up the next day. <br />   <br /> Three days later, it had still not been picked up despite <br /> repeated phone calls and promises. <br />   <br /> We finally had to dispose of it ourselves. <br />   <br /> No call from the company asking where the water heater was, <br /> so safe to say they never came back. <br />   <br /> Another surprise when we had a property inspection two weeks <br /> later ? no permit had ever been applied for. <br />   <br /> When we called Aart?s, they said they had not applied for it <br /> but would do so. I am not sure if this is a regular occurrence or not, but it <br /> didn?t seem out of the ordinary when we asked them about it (not to apply for <br /> permits). Back and forth a few times and then we finally received a copy of the <br /> permit. <br />   <br /> I would never do business with this company again ? the most <br /> unprofessional I have ever worked with. There was no one willing to take <br /> responsibility and they were shady at best. <br /> <br /> <strong>UPDATE</strong> <br /> <br /> I received a call from a representative of A Aarts & Tim's Quality Plumbing. he said he was going over their customer service issues and found several calls we had placed to the company last year (when we had the work done). he said they never showed the old water heater being picked up. I told him that was correct. He apologized and said they he was there to help resolve some outstanding customer service issues. He had also read my review on Angie's List. <br /> <br /> He asked what they could do to resolve the issue and I said that I though that was up to them to tell me what they could do. They refunded $100 for the disposal of the water heater, provided a $100 gift certificate for a future service and also sent two gift cards - one for $25 for Leeann Chin and one for $10 for Caribou Coffee. <br /> <br /> It is not an easy task to call customers that you know were unsatisfied with the service they received, so I appreciate the fact that they didn't just let it go and write us off as a customer for life. <br /> <br /> I would still be apprehensive to work with them again, but appreciate that they recognized a service challenge and tried to make it right,"

"Since the property owner lives out-of-state with a minimum of annual visits to the property, there must be trust that the company will take care of whatever is needed in a timely fashion. <br /> I have used this company for years, since about the time they began the business, to do a variety of things: landscaping (bushes/trees/pavers/decorative rock/cement work), snow removal, and routine lawn/yard care. The landscaping had an excellent result and a positive impact on the value of the property. Due to a disabled person living at this property, the owner goes beyond routine service (e.g., shoveling snow off the deck and under/around an exterior lift). The lawn and yard care is routinely done. <br /> It is easy to contact the owner and questions have been answered. The company provides timely service. I highly recommend this company. <br />"

"I signed the contract 10/23/19 with an expected pick up date by the end of the month. Heard on 10/30 that the transport had broken down and needed repairs. Talked to contact on 10/31 and reviewed alternative arrangements. Second transport option bailed out due to an emergency. Third option discussed. 11/05. I followed up and was told a driver was on the way. Pickup occurred 11/7 and delivery was 11/12. I paid extra for door to door service, but the transport could not navigate the residential streets, so pickup was in a mall parking lot. For the money paid, things could have gone more smoothly. Communication was okay, but given the starts and stops more wold have been better."

"I can not say enough good things about Thor. He went up and beyond what a contractor does. My insurance company didn't want to pay for the damage from the storm and said it can be patched. I had multiple contactors come out and see and they all said a total replace. Thor took care of everything including talking to my insurance company and fighting with them to pay for the total replacement of everything! I never found a nail when he was done! It was like he wasn't even there. The last people who did my roof I found nails the next year NOT with Thor! He is a very organized and clean contractor. He was very fast. Got it done in only 1 weekend! Everything looks amazing and works wonderful! He is now my go to contractor and I won't use anyone else but him! Very fair pricing and very trustworthy! "Accent Kitchen and Bath was a dream to work with. The salesman was super nice in helping us decide bathroom fixtures and flooring. He explained all the procedures before hand. They had to drill into the floor and even with all the drilling and dust, it never made it through our house. They kept the work site pristine and were always very professional. During our bathroom addition, our basement flooded. Accent was quick to respond and help us fix what was ruined. They were such miracle workers. It is now 2017 and our bathroom looks as beautiful as it did when they unveiled it to us. We loved all the quality products they installed. I would highly recommend them to anyone."

"I was having a difficult time locating a handyman in my area.  I finally researched Angie’s List and contacted Andrew Strugar (dba Handyman Pete) in Squaw Lake.  We are selling our house and we needed some general contracting assistance.  We needed to have a living room window exterior molding replaced and leak fixed; we needed our exterior railings reinstalled on our concrete stoop; we needed an exterior pre-hung steel door installed in the garage. <br /> He came up one day to survey the jobs and discuss terms.  He is honest, up-front, and very personable.  He discussed what he was going to do and how he would do it.  He provided the estimate and agreed on work dates. <br /> He arrived ready to work and in one day finished the window molding and stair rail re-installation.  The work was EXCELLENT.
