"Very disappointed. I called firm after reading good reviews. Wanted an exam of our sprinkler system as it wasn’t operating. Their “expert” came out, spent a short time and said command box would need replacing. I said, okay, foolishly not getting a quote, he came back few day later, not even ringing door, replaced it, left the old one in the yard and did not even leave owner’s manual. I thought it was fixed but later discovered it still wasn’t working. Called back, same person came. We found out the filter was clogged with algae I flushed it out for him and it started working. He left and as it cycled through all zones, I find one in back yard gushing out water (it’s broken!) and now I’m quite upset he never went through checking to see if all system was operating properly. Which is primarily what I wanted. Now I’v got to get someone to fix head, but it won’t be Newell. BTW-new command box cost me $500 and I don’t even know it was new, or not. Installed without our knowledge, didn’t see box nor receive owner manual for its operation, and they can’t get me one. Overall a very bad experience."

"Apparently Pinch A Penny on Marco Island has an excess of customers that they can afford to lose them or they are just systemically rude. As seen from other reviews, the Sherry and Rusty owner combo seem to struggle to understand customer service and how not to be rude to people. We referred a friend to this company and she had to fire them after the first service given that Sherry was rude to her on the phone. Despite complaining about this event, they seemed unphased and were in turn rude to us. Rusty found talking to us for 15 minutes on the phone seemed like 40 minutes when trying to hire him to install a wireless system in our pool to regulate the water level, as his company does NOT do this as part of the regular pool maintenance. They seem to only want to come and pick up a few leaves from the bottom of the pool and run a sponge on the edge and leave in 6 minutes flat. I would advise that you read all these reviews and see the common theme before hiring this company to do your pool service. You will be sorry if you do at one point or another."
