"In addition to correcting the shoddy work performed by Basement Flood Protector, since BFP refused to, Crawlspace and Basement Waterproofing Solutions, Villa Park, IL, went far above their quote by installing drainboard, dealing with the ejection line and bubble pot -- not part of the job, as well as cutting and removing an old oil tank from another crawlspace and encapsulating the space.  Brian also offered advice on using a Ramset powder actuated nail driver in their concrete, they got me a spray foam kit at cost and dropped it off.  All of that for no extra charge possibly because they seemed to feel bad about my experience with their "competitor", and most of all, they made sure I was comfortable with their work.  I have already contacted them for some new work that is pending, and will do the same if anything else goes wrong with Basement Flood Protector's equipment or work.  I have no expectation that Basement Flood Protector would stand by anything else any more than they already did, and I could do without the abusive rudeness.  Save yourself the cash and hassle.  Call Brian at Crawlspace and Basement Waterproofing Solutions first."

"Literally a truckload of dirt and old insulation was removed from a crawlspace under a town house. Openings in the foundation were sealed or covered, the floor was swept clean and the crawlspace walls sprayed with insulating foam. 2-day job in tough conditions and with limited city parking, professionally and efficiently executed, indeed resulting in a perfect crawlspace. "A lot more to discuss about this than I would like. Drain tile construction seems fine, which is the most important part of this project by far! We will learn more upon a rainy season in the fall or spring. Demo was not as clean as we would have liked. We have steel studs in basement, so they pushed out walls to put drains to window wells behind electrical conduit for outlets. This ripped the drywall off of studs and pulled framing away from windows. We had to rerun electricity around the new drains and do some repairs because of this. If we had wood studs, we do not think that they would not have been able to cause as much damage, so this shortcut cost us some work. There is also a small dent in our ceiling on the main floor from when they were carrying materials. Dust was everywhere. They left the door to the basement open during demo and construction so dust was all over our main floor. Also, they mixed the concrete in our garage, so everything we move out of the basement to avoid dust is now covered in concrete dust. This is very difficult to remove since mixing with water will form more concrete. They asked what we need from them to fix this, but we do not see a good solution other than wiping down each individual item ourselves. It's a lot of work we spent a lot of time trying to avoid by following Alex's recommendations. There was a miscommunication and Reliable Basements did not put the new sump pump in, plus the check valves were put 2 inches from the lid of the sump pit leaving the pit inaccessible to us. After several attempts at communicating with them, they responded and replaced it and fixed the check valve placement in a timely manner. They missed a crack in the foundation, but were quick to come out and fill it for the same price they offered during the drain tile installation."

"Great company to work with. We ran into some problems after the sidewalk tear-out but they were able to fix them and keep the job moving forward. The flat work turned out great! I would hire them again."

"I'll recommend Windy City Rooter to anyone that will listen. My initial call to them was for a camera inspection on my sewer line. Shannon showed up and made sure to answer any questions I had before beginning any work. After putting the camera down the line, a blockage of tree roots was discovered. Shannon went over the options on how to proceed and offered his advice when asked. He gave up front costs on all the options, so that I could make as an informed decision as possible. To make a long story short, I decided to replace the clay tile sewer line with PVC. Shannon got me a contract and I put the 50% deposit down, he also took the time to explain what was and wasn't going to be included in this work. Fast forward to a week later, the permit is approved, materials dropped off and a crew of guys shows up ready to work. Cort took the time to go over the scope of work again and answer any questions I had. Shortly after Cort and his crew started, Max showed up to see if they needed anything. Over the course of the next 6 hours, the old sewer line was dug up, the new sewer line was put in place and the trench was filled in. Cort explained about how the trench will settle and level out and what my city will be coming to do as cleanup. The crew did a sweep of my property to make sure nothing was forgotten or left behind and cleaned up everything. This is all a very long winded way of saying Windy City Rooter did an exceptional job. Oh and did I mention that it was done at a very affordable price? Because it was. After talking with Max, he makes it very clear he want's to save the customer money whenever possible. 5 Stars 10/10 would recommend. If you have any plumbing problems, Windy City Rooter should be your first call."

"It went very well.  The employees have a fine attention to detail.  I ordered some moulding product online.  And had hoped to install  it myself ( I sometimes consider myself handy) Fortunately, I hired them! It would of been a nightmare for me and a project I would of never finished.  They noticed that the moulding thickness was not the same across all the pieces that I ordered, which would of caused real issues when installing.  They were able to fix the moulding and make my formal dining room which doubles as my client meeting room GORGEOUS! Quickly they moved onto the stair reconstruction.  I love it!!!
They were on-time everyday and cleaned up the mess every evening before they left. They were courteous, professional and knowledgeable of each project and offered alternative solutions to some of the hiccups we had along the way.
