"I m new to Home Advisor and have had excellent results! In the past I have reached out to contractors and have had spotty results. Often no return calls or over priced estimates. I Submitted a request on a Saturday morning around 6:00 and had a phone call from Pete May - the owner of Precision Decorative Concrete asking to come by that morning for an estimate! Pete showed up and was professional and and very detailed in his proposal. He said he would email me later in the day. Because I have had several other estimates I expected that Pete s estimate would be out of my price range. I was very happy that the estimate was well below others and provided more detail. ( this project has been on the back burner for 3 years !) I accepted his proposal and the job was complete within a week ! ( I didn t ask, but didn t expect them before 8:00 am!). I have never had a contractor show up early! They were here well before 8:00 am and did prep work as planned. The rest of the project went extremely well. "<p>Colored Stamped Concrete?s installation of our new patio and walkway was a very positive experience from the start.   Fred was responsive and professional every step of the way.   He arrived on time for the initial estimate, was available for questions, and returned at a time convenient to my wife?s work schedule to walk through design options.   Fred stood behind his original quote and worked with us and provided sound advice as we finalized our style and color.   We also found the price to be competitive as we did price several other contractors, including pavers.  </p> Colored Stamped Concrete was also accommodating in scheduling our job.  Once the permit was approved work started the next business day as promised and completed on scheduled.   When I inspected the final work, the high quality and attention to detail was very evident.   Highly recommended, exceeded expectations!  We would not hesitate to use Colored Stamped Concrete again. <br />"

"<p>I am writing this recommendation for Procrete and their owner Dave McBride. I decided to engage Dave and Procrete after searching for a hardscape / paver contractor local to my summer house in Margate. There are many contractors who will work at the shore, but my preference was to find a company based in the area vs. an hour away. </p> <p>Dave was very professional in his approach, and consultative. I shared with him what we were looking for, to completely rebuild our back yard, from 50 year old ugly cracked concrete and a chain link fence to a new vinyl fence and pavers.<br></p> <p>We shared our vision, and Dave’s firm provided a sketch of what the back yard could look like with a specific paver design, which we ended up going with – while making a few changes along the way.<br></p> <p>We also had Dave install a built-in gas firepit that has exceeded our expectations. It is now the central point of our new back yard.<br></p> <p>While at it, I also had Dave replace my old cracked driveway with new concrete and pavers for my front walkway. AS his team was already at my house doing a job, the extra cost was not prohibitive.<br></p> <p>My biggest concern going in was using a contractor that I did not have a previous referral for. Dave provided referrals plus a list of properties in the local area that he did work on.<br></p> <p>I must say, the work was top notch and we are thrilled with how our back yard came out. I had no less than 4 neighbors comment on the work they were doing and their commitment to doing a good job vs. a fast job.<br></p> <p>I have been screwed before by contractors that finish the job 80-90% and then never come back to truly complete the job. Dave even came back to finish all of my items on a punch list after the job was done.<br></p> <p>I 100% recommend Dave and Procrete for hardscaping, paver and concrete work.<br></p>"

"I contacted Ron to come out and give me an estimate for new concrete around my new pool. His price was very reasonable for all the work that needed to be done. They removed all my old concrete, disposed of it and leveled out the remaining dirt/sand. Ron and his men were great! They were able to work around my new pool that was installed, and filled the concrete up right up next to the coping. They they were always on time, and I had no problems with them whatsoever. They had everything completely finished as was quoted on his estimate sheet. They took care not to let any newly poured concrete into the new pool that was already filled with water. I would highly recommend Ron and his men for anyone looking for concrete work in and around their house. (Delayed post from 2017.)"

"The GDL crew was eager to get things started.  The crew finished up the footing preparations, is aligning the ICF stem-walls, and has installed the stem wall bracing.  After they finish with the preparations, we will do a monolithic pour of 75 yards of concrete into the footing and the ICF stem wall. <br />"

"First, we have not had good luck with any kind of help. They either or late getting back to us or over-priced. I called Derek of Mr. Handy and set up a Sat. estimate. He showed up right on time , gathered all the info (msmts,material,etc) & said he would email us an estimate in a couple days. 2 days later the estimate arrived & we considered it reasonable. After giving him the go-ahead he he said he could start within a week to 10 days. Our place is a shore condo & we are not there during the week so we provided a key. 2 weeks later we went down to see a finished job that looked better than we imagined. To install the new floor he had to tear up the old one which is a messy job. The kitchen was in clean, pristine condition after he was done. The entire job was paid for after completion. We could not be happier with the work that was done and for what it costs. Highly recommended. Tom & Marci Bisset. Sea Isle City"

"Owner came out on a Saturday and did an estimate, up front (without be asked for) provide a list of question to ask (in case you didn't know/unsure), references for the local area going back 5 years, and afterwards a throughly written estimate.  Professional and personal was the first impression...you cannot under estimate the first impression.  After we set the date, there were multiple rain delays (my wife and I understand paving in pouring rain is not good, for anyone).  The office of Penn Jersey provided constant updates to our changing scheduled, I never had to guess what was happening.  (my side bar, outside work is largely based on weather, so understand if your work is delayed due to weather, its not bad service)  Day of the work, the entire crew came together, prepared, all dressed alike in company clothing.  Total professional operation.  The owner lead the day and as I learned, the crew consisted of sons, newphews, even the office is run by family.  Happy group of folks doing a wonderfully professional job and the driveway looks incredible.  We are extremely happy. <br />"

"Overall, service was good. We needed gutter cleaning on our 2 story, 2500 sq ft home. A friend currently uses Atlanta's Best and recommended them to us. I got a quote online for $125, less a $20 discount for new customers. The crew had to reschedule our first appointment the day of due to getting delayed on a previous job, but their communication was good and kept us in the loop the whole time. The office rescheduled us and got a crew out within a week of the initial appointment. I wasn't home when the guys arrived, but I came home to not only clean gutters but a clean driveway, walkway, porch, etc.. They didn't just pull the crap out of the gutter and throw it all over the place which was nice. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking."
