He's professional, a great communicator, has great attention to detail and has experience in so many different areas/can do a wide variety of projects (and if there's something he can't personally do/procure, he has a large network in the area that can help). His pricing is fair and the work gets done in a timely manner. He's helped us with the following: - interior painting (walls, doors, molding/trim) - refinishing of hardwood floors - kitchen remodel (new countertops, backsplash, sink/faucet, refinishing/painting of cabinetry, appliance install) - custom door install/replacement (including widening a doorframe) - outdoor shower repair - next up is staining our fence I don't think there's anything we've asked of Mack that he hasn't been able to do himself or outsource through another subcontractor. Whatever home project we have in mind, we'll always reach out to Mack for help!"

"It went well! I expected it to take a long time to get it picked up, but I called for the bag to be emptied on Friday and they were here Saturday! I am already filling it up again. Bill and his crew have done several jobs for me.  One big job and a few small ones.  The addition of two dormers was a pretty big job we had done in 2005.  The guys were courteous, showed up on time, and always cleaned up at the end of the day.   On Thanksgiving day, when the job was nearing completion, we had a torrential rain storm and water started pouring into the house through a section of the roof  in "the construction zone".   I called Bill and he came out personally and got out there and secured everything to stop the issue.   Again, this is ON Thanksgiving day.  
To note ~  the first time I called Bill about another job I needed done, years after the dormer job, he instantly remembered me and even where I lived.    It's this kind of attention to detail and professionalism that should be the standard, not only for builders and general contractors, but for all business proprietors.
