"We've worked with Scott Hall Remodeling twice so far-- once back in 2010 to remodel two bathrooms at our old house, and again in 2018 to finish the basement at our current house. You get what you pay for. They are a group of reliable professionals who will provide you with an excellent end product. Our basement now is higher quality than our first and second floors in our opinion! Our house is a new build (built in 2016), and on hindsight we wish Scott Hall had built our entire house! They also stay mostly on schedule with their projects, which seems to be a rarity in the construction industry. Our basement's finished space they worked on is roughly 1600 square feet. We put luxury vinyl wood flooring down throughout the entire basement except in the workout room where we opted for rubber flooring. Scott Hall uses high quality materials such as wood trim (not MDF which our home builder used unfortunately for the trim upstairs), top quality paint (again better than our builder used even though we upgraded when building), etc. We contacted Scott Hall Remodeling around May '18. Developed the layout and signed in June. Purchased the cabinets in July and Scott Hall's crew started work in August. Work completed for the most part in November with some punch list items wrapping up in December. Joe Davis was our construction manager and we would highly recommend him. He's very respectful of the fact that he's working in a house that you need to continue to live in during the process. He listens to any concerns you may have and does his best to find a solution. Our egress window was drafty and I wasn't satisfied at first; Joe returned to find a solution and made sure I was 100% satisfied before he moved on (which I can say from experience, most contractors would've just walked away and said their job was done. Joe actually cares that you're happy with his work!) Our crew was great, if you are planning on doing a project with Scott Hall, be sure to ask for Bryn, Joe, and Andrew!"

"It is so easy to work with Lorraine Curley. She is very, very motivated, knowledgeable, funny and prompt. Even if you are not used to working with a designer, you will find her very approachable and friendly. Why have you not heard of her around town? Because she does not advertise. Why does she not advertise? Because she is that good. You can see from my review how word of mouth is working for her. One of the things I truly appreciate about Lorraine's expert assistance is that she has prevented me from making expensive design mistakes. She sees things you might never think of for your home. She thinks of ways you might arrange your furniture in your room that you would never, ever have thought of no matter how much you think about it. As a certified designer, Lorraine has access to all the things available only to the design trade. She also works with great contractors so it takes away the worry of hiring the right people, too. All the people she recommended that I have used, including base painters, faux painters, ironworkers, and drapery hangers have been excellent. She can work with you to select colors, furniture, drapes, lighting, do furniture placement, and/or direct an entire design process from the bare walls out. I have one spectacular family room, and it looks that way because she was with me for every decision. You will, with her assistance, figure out what style you want, and all the things that might go along with it. She mails things I might be interested in from time to time, directed me to good catalog sources, etc. I'm one of those people that has to find things myself sometimes, like accessories, and she has no problem with that, although she can pick stuff out if you'd rather leave it up to her. Also she understood I couldn't hire her to do a gigantic project all at once. Her assistance with draperies has been invaluable. I'll find a picture in a magazine and her workroom makes the drapes appear on my windows. One custom-made roman shade had a problem soon after it was installed with the string you raise and lower the blind with, and she immediately came and got it, took it back to the workroom, fixed it and had it re-installed with no charge. When do problems go away without more problems? With the service like you get from a top quality designer like Lorraine Curley."

"I had worked with Paul Finley years ago when he was part of Hardhats Flooring and had a very good experience with him and his company in the installation of flooring in my kitchen.  We had been looking at different kitchen flooring options for my 80 year old mother and contacted Paul who now is under the company name of Interior Surfaces.  Paul arranged to come out to her house within a couple of days with a few samples.  He followed up by phone and email the next day with a preliminary estimate which would have involved removing a partially floor.  IN addition, he suggested making an appointment to come to Interior Surface's office to look over different samples.    In comparing costs with other providers, there were two reputable companies that I had used previously whose estimates were fairly close in total cost. Interior Surfaces was one of them.  In the meantime, I took the old tile up over the holidays and then we were into the new year.  We also took some time in deciding on just the right colors that would be the best for her kitchen. The initial estimate that involved tile removal was higher than the other company, but the the other costs balanced out with the rest of the estimate.  However due to the new year, some costs had gone up a little from the initial estimate.  In the end, we chose to go with the other company due to a sale they had on the flooring my mom was interested in and its availability.  Paul provided exceptional customer service throughout the estimate, and search for appropriate flooring samples.  We would definitely consider working with him again. <br />"
