"My project was to add a porch to the front of my antique house. I quoted the job out to 3 builders and found the prices all to be similar. Although Fiske Construction was very slightly higher I was impressed with the professionalism of the quote and Mike�s understanding of what I was looking for. I showed him a couple of pictures of the style I wanted and he immediately picked up the details that gave the look I wanted. Mike arranged for the permits and began work as soon as they were set. Mike�s work ethic is far better than many these days, he showed up early and worked hard all day, every day. I never felt that my job wasn�t his top priority. I added a couple of features during the construction , Mike gave me a very fair price on the additional work and arranged for the materials required. Mike is more than just a builder, he is a Craftsman. The fit, finish, and quality of the porch is top notch. I have had neighbors and strangers compliment me on what a beautiful porch and how it looks like it has always been there. It�s not an easy task to add to a house built in the early 1800�s and match the quality of workmanship and style for that period but Mike and his team nailed it, I could not be happier or ask for a single change for the entire project. If I need any building projects in the future I will definitely have Fiske Contruction do the work. These days with some pretty questionable contractors out there Mike Fiske is a shining star and a safe bet for any project you may be"

We were taking down an old deck and adding a room to our house, along with doing a little kitchen remodeling. Dave and Andrew are excellent craftsmen. "I was initially very happy with the work and the progress being made on the two bathrooms but as time went by, the project was being neglected as, I assume other jobs took precedent and the communication became nil. The plumber was a disaster making multiple mistakes and leaving a filthy mess behind after working in the house, including leaving tools on our bed and the old toilet in the bedroom, rather than bringing it to his truck or the basement. The job kept dragging on and as it did, Mike was getting more frustrated and angry with us! He had two workmen, one of whom always smelled of alcohol and was constantly having health problems. After months of labor and bad feelings between us, I wanted the job done and the workmen gone, even though my shower does not drain. Now, every time I take a shower, I have to kick the water into the drain with my foot and soak it up with a wash cloth which takes time. It is infuriating after all the money I paid and the incredibly long time it took."
