"The job was accomplished & finished in August 2021. He was very respectful & enthusiastic to do our project as it was a custom design job. It was an intriguing job since it involved various metal angles & trying to adhere to code requirements. There was an initial railing done, but we were not happy with the fact that it wasn’t adhering to code standards. He created a new railing to replace the initial one. We are extremely pleased with the job he did. He’s young, professional & really worked with us and the initial design that we intended to have completed for our main floor renovation. He’s very flexible & great with any creative input you may express to him. When we will need future Iron work done we feel extremely confident that he will be the one to do our future projects. "Modernized Exteriors seem to have built a decent deck for a decent price but in a somewhat sloppy and dishonest way. First, they left hundreds of pieces of debris including over 100 nails, screws, and other fasteners, and hundreds of pieces of the old deck lying around, including some pieces over six feet long, many with embedded nails sticking out. For months, nearly every time my daughters went out to play they came back with a handful of nails and screws. Second, the old deck had a notch through which the gutter downspout passed to reach the drain in the ground. Instead of cutting a notch for the downspout, they just tossed it behind a bush allowing the gutter to empty directly onto the deck. They promised a 12-month warranty, saying they'd come out to correct any defects. When I mentioned the disconnected gutter they initially said they'd fix it, but then ignored my follow-up messages when I asked them to actually do it. So they may not honor their promises."

"I called HarleyExteriors to get a quote on 3 windows and anew sliding glass door with a pet door in it. From the gentleman who sold me on the products, to the gentleman who came to take the final measurements, to the man who scheduled and ordered all the products I could tell that this was an exceptional company. The crew arrived on time and got right to work and were done in a good time period. They had me come to inspect the finished product and made sure I knew how to work the locks. While they were working the gentleman who had set everything up for the job stopped by the house to check out the work. When they were done the area was cleaned up and everything put away. I am really impressed with the whole process and then the President of HarleyExteriors called to make sure I was satisfied. "This review is long overdue in my praise of Washington Energy Services for their customer service, pricing and workmanship ! My first interaction was in 1999 when they installed windows throughout my house. They are still in excellent condition. I might note I called them over 20 years later to inquire on how I could repair a broken slider and they sent someone right out, charging a very nominal amount to repair it. In 2020, I needed to replace my hot water tank, and the extremely knowledgeable Christy presented several options, answering my many questions. I settled on one with a booster that seemed to best fit my needs. Finally, in December 2023, I purchased a new gas furnace from WES. I had a minor issue with a fan switch and they responded quickly to rectify the situation. Within the past two months, I seemed to be having an issue with my thermostat (something they had not installed), and the manager, Greg, came out twice with his crew to explore the problem. Today they installed a new thermostat FREE OF CHARGE! Their excellent response and customer service is beyond any company I have hired. And I particularly love that they are family owned and have been around for decades. Their employees seem to be there for the long haul, which speaks highly of the owner. I refer all my friends and family and I won't go anywhere else for services that they offer. Many thanks to the staff I have interacted with over the past 25 years!"
