"I contacted D @ R Builders about an estimate for work the 2nd week of Aug 2011. They came the next day and gave me an estimate that beat out all others I had for my job. They started the job Sept 1st, 2011, less than two weeks after my initial phone call, only extremely heavy rain kept them from working. They finished up in 2 weeks. They stripped the garage, two story multiple peak house, front and back porch roofs. They replaced any wood that was rotten or not serviceable, put down new paper and then very nice shingles. They added peak venting with the house and garage roof and replaced a lot of bad wood. My chimney was in need of major repair and they reset the brick and added a concrete stucco on it to secure the brick in place. That was my choice they also can totally replace a chimney. After all the roofing and chimney repairs and replacements were complete they hung gutters on my garage, rehung serviceable gutters on my house and porch roofs, and replaced unserviceable gutters with new. <br /> <br /> The workers for D @ R are very professional and clean up the job site every day before they go home. They were very respectable of our needs while they were working. <br /> <br /> I am 100% pleased with this company and am using them in the future to install new siding on my house and garage, and also concrete my driveway. "Initially, like all the water restoration companies after a storm, they were very busy and unable to come out to pick up the water right away. However, within a day they were able to schedule an appointment even though it was Labor Day weekend. (They were the only restoration company that returned our phone call and even tried to come out and help us). Joe and Megan own the company and they are extremely accomodating. Joe was very professional, assessed the water damage, told us what he recommended and gave us an estimate. My husband asks lots of questions and is always very sceptical about repairmen. Joe said he would only clean up/repair what we wanted and never tried to and quot;recommendand quot; any further treatments. He was not pushy or dramatic about what needed to be done. A large dehumidifier was set up along with 2 large fans to dry out the basement after the initial water extraction. He came back to our home everyday to check on the drying process so he could remove the equipment asap to limit our bill as the fans and dehumidifier are charged per day of usage. On the third day, Joe came back to our home to make alterations to our dryer vent so that we would not have any further water enter our basement incase of another flash flood. We have lived in this house for 8 yrs and nothing like this has ever occurred. <br />"

"He was a very nice guy but he never came back and finished. He never came back. He was supposed to bring a weather strip for our front door. He did a nice job. He was reasonable. But then he never completed it. He just didn't ever come back and do it. I was going to call him. But, my husband was real sick for a while and we just kind of let it go. But, we should get it because definitely it would have saved heat and we had a cold winter. He was a nice man. I liked the guy a lot. I know he planned to get back. I think he just probably forgot. The door was beautifully done. He did beautiful work. They had to put siding and they had to remove some windows. We felt like it was reasonable. We were pleased with what he did, just that he didn't finish the weather stripping. He is so busy. He worked us in. He was a nice man. He did very well for the money. We were very happy with his work. I would recommend him. There was one other thing inside. Maybe he didn't intend to finish it. We had windows next to the old door that we had. We had an odd sized door. He closed in the windows. He closed it but there is some trim at the bottom like between the floor and the wall. The baseboard, he never finished that either. I don't know if he wasn't going to but that's still not there either. It looks kind of rough. We haven't had the money to have it painted yet. But there is a piece of that on the bottom on the floor that's not done either. Maybe he wasn't going to do it. I think the price was fair. He came in when he said he would. We were very happy with him. We're just disappointed that he forgot to come back."
