He answered any questions we had about the details of the quote straight away. Staged payment: Paying the first half after initial inspection, tear-off and delivery of materials and the second half after final inspection was a very fair way of doing things. It gave us confidence from the start that we were dealing with a professional company. Tony went out of his way to ensure that we were kept informed as to what was happening. We needed to replace some of the plyboard under the shingles and instead of charging by the hour for each of the crew (which all other contractors had quoted) he charged us by the sq. foot.
