"Stonework by Flavio and Sons are the best in the business!  My wife and I are frugal shoppers and  we wanted a front entrance walkway that was attractive, yet simple, rugged and made with heavy gray Pennsylvania Flagstones.  Oscar Flavio did the estimate and provided many insightful suggestions.  I obtained a number of estimates ranging from $3000 to $8000 for the same job but Oscar Flavio was the only one who really seemed to listen and be willing to do exactly what we wanted and use quality products versus cheaper substitutes.  I have seen a number of front entrances in my area finished off with flimsy 1/2 or 1 inch Flagstones.  But true to their word, Flavio put in heavy and large square 1 1/2 inch Flagstones that will withstand anything.   One key difference I realized is that Flavio is an actual masonry contractor versus landscapers who also do some masonry as a sideline.  With Flavio one is actually getting a licensed mason who is going to do the job the right way.  There sure is a difference.  The job took Flavio 3 days to complete.  I could see they really put the time in an effort to get the walkway foundation prepared with tamped crushed stone and then the concrete base was reinforced with heavy wire mesh.  After letting the base harden overnight they came in the next day and laid out the walkway and then finished the steps.  All the joints were precut and and everything fit like a jigsaw puzzle.  I would STRONGLY recommend Flavio and Sons as they are a family business that stands by their name.  Some of the other bigger name contractors I talked to basically told me they would have to charge a lot more because I had to cover their 'overhead'!   With Flavio I realized I was paying for their actual services and no extra fluff.  If you want a rock solid masonry job, done the way you want it done then I would strongly recommend Stonework by Flavio and Sons.  I would absolutely use them in any future masonry projects I might have. <br />"
