"My pool was 20 years old and had been losing water for about 10 years. Mike, Randy, Addison and Crew pressure tested all lines, stripped the old plaster down so there was no pockets beneath it, then replastered, jack hammered out the old leaking lines from skimmer to spa located underneath pool deck and replaced them. They do beautiful concrete work. Replaced jets in spa. They had a very difficult time finding the last leak but stayed after it by eliminating 1 thing at a time until they found the problem, which was a metal pool light used at the time my pool was originally built. They fixed that problem and I am one happy pool owner for the first time in years. This was a hard job for this provider because of the leaking problem but they stayed with it until the problem was solved."

"My wife and I purchased our new home the same day our baby was born (my wife was in labor while signing the papers).  The only thing that wasn't done when closed was the plumbing, which the seller agreed to pay for and it was included in the contract.  The seller had scheduled Skeen Plumbing to come out early the week after we closed on the house.  They had flushed all the pipes the previous week but some of the drains were still slow.  Unable to schedule them to come back before closing (my wife and I didn't want to delay with a baby on the way) we agreed to the terms mentioned above even though we would start out without water in the kitchen. <br /> I called Skeen Plumbing on Monday to see when they would be coming in and they informed me that they wouldn't be able to make it that week, it would be late next week.  I explained that we had a contract saying they would be coming in sooner and that I had a new born to think about, they said they would try but not to hold out much hope.  I hung up and immediately called my Realtor Dixie Phelps (in case anyone is looking for a good Realtor in Jackson MS) she said to let her handle it.  Shortly thereafter Skeen called back and said they'd be out the next day.  So at this point I'm not a big fan of the company. <br /> The plumbers that came out were very polite and professional.  Frank was especially helpful.  Every step of the way he explained what they were doing and why.  He made sure I understood what was going on and also pointed out potential future problems, since I had just bought the house.  For example he explained that the hot water heater is coming up on the end of it's normal life span, not that I needed a new one now, but to start saving because it will probably need to be replaced in the next couple of years or so.  All the plumbers went above and beyond for my family, even staying hours late Friday night to be sure we had water in the kitchen over the weekend so we could do dishes, even though they would have to take it apart Monday to continue working. <br /> It took a little over a week and the guys were great to work with.  Just as a matter of full disclosure I have plumbers and repair men in my family so I know what a crap job it can be, so we tried to be sure to offer water and gatorade and we also cooked lunch a couple of days for the plumbers as a way of saying thanks for their hard work.  Whether or not this hospitality affected the quality of work I don't know, but they did go above and beyond for us.   <br /> When rates were talked about they did seem rather high, but I'm writing this review a couple of months after the fact and haven't had any problems, and sometimes quality is worth the higher price.   <br /> Would I use Skeen Plumbing again?  Frank gave me his card with his number, and I would definitely call him again.    <br /> <br />"

"I found Dorian Dyer's original paintings to be thought provoking and yet peaceful at the same time. <br /> He creates scenes of a simple and pure love using subjects such as eagles, geese, buffalo, people, the Earth, and the cosmos.  All of Dorian's art expresses a connection with one another and all life.   <br /> With an initial gaze at Dorian's paintings you may see an abstract or New Age piece of art, but when you relax and take a few moments to look deeper, an inner knowing of the masterpiece of all life will come forward.  There is love, beauty, and a gentle reminder of God's presence within each piece of art. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Mendenhall, MS

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
