"Scheduling an appointment was a very frustrating endeavor. First, I tried to schedule using their online appointment request form, but never heard back. A week later, I called (and like every other time I called) had to leave a voicemail message asking for a call back that day or I would be taking my business everywhere. I got a call back about an hour later from an annoyed woman who complained that she was too overworked and that's why nobody was getting back to me. I was then able to schedule an appointment for about 7 weeks out to have my pellet stove cleaned. The day prior to the cleaning a work conflict came up and there was a chance I needed to reschedule the appointment. I called and left a voicemail explaining that I needed to know how long the appointment would take and that if it took longer than 1.5 hours I would need to reschedule. I received no call back. I called the next day (the day of the appointment) first thing in the morning, and had to leave another message stating the same thing. I STILL never received a call back. The stove technician (Noah) called to let us know he was on his way that afternoon and was able to finish the cleaning on time. The stove was cleaned adequately and he was both pleasant and respectful. Bottom line: Good luck scheduling an appointment or communicating with this business on your own time table - there is just no way to get in touch with anyone until they choose to call you back. That being said, one they arrived they were able to do the job adequately without further issue."

"Thank you to Tim for all of the information and the availability to set up the inspection by my schedule.  Silas and Aaron were right on time (they beat me there) and very professional. The cleaned the chimney and flue as well as the fireplace. We have a wood burning fireplace and oil boiler to be inspected. They did this, took pictures to show me any concerns and wrote up their report that they left with me. We had a level II inspection done for the purchase of a home. Thanks guys! "The brick chimney on my 55-year-old house had missing and loose bricks, crumbling mortar, and severe staining. Also, when the house was reroofed five years ago, the roofers did not do a proper job of installing flashing against the chimney. I first contacted Dave Robinson mid-summer, and he came out to examine the project. Initially he thought he could get to it in late August but he then said it would be sometime in October. As it wasn't an emergency (I had, after all, been living with this for years), that was OK with me. Dave and his crew arrived in early October and, over two days, did a great job repairing the chimney, reinstalling the flashing properly (so that the top of the flashing was embedded in the mortar, and then sealed it all with a breathing sealer. Perhaps my only gripe was that communication was intermittent, especially by email, but he did respond and did the work he quoted for the agreed-upon price. I have attached before and after photos. I'm very happy with his work and plan to call on Dave again when I am ready to install a fireplace insert (as the interior of the chimney needs work.)"

Joe also recommended a specific color roofing that was spot on exactly what we wanted and this provided a beautiful result! The job site was left clean and neat each day and left virtually no interruption at my home or in my neighborhood. "I am new on our Board and I am using companies from those that did excellent work before for our association. We had 2 other options that I was willing to contact but my thoughts were, "why change a good thing". I have records going back maybe 12 years or so and Armstrong was the only company our association used. I suggested to the board that for reliable companies that did excellent work for us in the past, I would like to bypass the usual requirement of 3 estimates as we would have no history on 2 of them. The idea was approved and I hired Armstrong for our recent dryer vent cleanings in the Association. Their work last week was excellent and we could not have had a friendlier and more professional group to work with. In 8 cases out of our 18 units, additional "inside access to the dryer vent was necessary" and we agreed to have Armstrong come back and complete the cleanings at a small additional price. The prices were better than fair in my opinion and obviously, Armstrong represents itself well in the areas of punctuality, efficiency, price, cleanliness and doing the job well. I'm pleased. The remainder of the board is pleased and the only comments I have received from residents were positive. I trust Armstrong and I hope for a continued, long association. They are also licensed here in NH which is a new requirement for our attorney (and me) and I received their certificates within 2 days of requesting them. Overall, great company. I wish all companies for home repairs/maintenance were as pleasant to deal with. The "Cost listed below includes 18 homes with supplemental inside work for 7 units."

"John did great job overall.  He is a professional engineer (PE) and has other specialists who work for him. <br /> He was professional and factual in his findings and was diplomatic with presenting them to the owner.   <br /> He took the time to answer all my questions and wrote a very detailed report. <br /> Best of all, I found him myself and did not go thru a realtor, who has an interest in selling the home, and not in finding everything that could be wrong with a house.  <br /> Only aspect I was disappointed in was his analysis of the geothermal heat pump design we wanted to install. I am not familiar with those so I asked him to evaluate the design we were presented.  The response was less than adequate...I wanted a critical analysis and basically received eyewash, though he subcontracted that portion out to another geothermal company. <br />"

"John DeSisto arrived on time to do a bed bug inspection (we had previously spotted a few). He did a thorough inspection of every bed and couch in the house and, thankfully, turned up nothing (apparently our attempts to deal with the bugs ourselves worked). He gave us some good advice on how to prevent problems should there be a few still lingering. He did NOT try to sell us any unnecessary services, for which we were grateful. Finally, he did NOT charge us anything for his considerable amount of time. The bottom line is he was thorough, professional, knowledgeable, and reasonable. We'll be sure to call him should the bed bugs turn up again."
