I was charged an emergency fee to have someone come give me a quote - between the quote itself and the emergency fee I paid $350 and didn't even consider hiring them to do the job (water heater replacement) because their price was almost twice as high as what I ended up paying (and significantly higher than all other vendors I received quotes from). One incredibly helpful person from another plumbing company that I talked to said I was the second young lady THAT DAY who he'd heard from who felt taken advantage of by the way they charged that emergency fee, which felt very shady. Then when I let them know as a courtesy that I would be disputing the credit card charge and posting a review so nobody else feels cheated like I do, they responded immediately but basically said they did nothing wrong. The company I ended up using was Squam Lake Plumbing and they were fantastic. Robert Bell from Robert Bell Plumbing was also incredibly helpful and kind. Both great options, just don't go with Rowell's."
