"Especially now that it's August and the humidity has been extremely high for weeks, I can tell the difference in having this wonderful new system that Durham installed. The humidity control far exceeded my expectations. Though the system wasn't cheap (for me), it was compatible with other fully installed units out there, and I'm glad I made this investment. If you want to keep your electric bill costs down, replace ducting (this alone cut my bills by an average of $60/month), install more insulation, and get a new energy efficient unit. The humidity feature will use more energy, but with the more efficient system I'm not paying any more in monthly bills than I did before the humidity control feature. Believe me, the humidity control makes a BIG difference. You also want to look at the quality of the install - Durham is fantastic. They are efficient, professional, and provide substitute window units while the upgrades are happening. I will also say, their annual service agreement is well worth it too."
