"Our dryer was running but not heating up. We found Alstate on Angie's List and called them Monday morning. We called before they were open, so their answering service took a message. They called us back the same morning and scheduled a service call for Tuesday evening between 5:00 and 7:00. They gave us a $25.00 discount for being Angie's List members. They showed up and diagnosed the problem as a malfunctioning control board. They do not carry the part, so they had to order it. They worked with us to allow us time to decide if we wanted to repair the dryer or replace it. They told us to give them a call if we wanted them to order the part. They were very professional, and did not pressure us to make a decision. We decided to go ahead with the repair, so we called them the following morning. They ordered the part, which arrived by Friday. They returned Friday morning and completed the repair. They were up-front about how much everything would cost, and they charged exactly what they said they would. We will definitely use them again if we need another appliance repair.

When the initial inspection of the unit was completed, the technician discussed all of the possibilities with the repair. He was honest with me and suggested replacing the unit and the furnace as well while he was there. I like that when he gave me the estimate, both the technician and I signed it. However, after having someone else check out the same problem they were able to identify the problem and had explained it was something related to a switch, of which I felt he should have been able to find being that he was an electrician."
