"I've worked with Start To Finish on several projects and they are great to work with. They do a great job, providing cost effective options, talking about different ways to approach the project and what the pros and cons are, so as a consumer who doesn't do these kinds of things very often I still feel like I can make an informed decision. The project went according to plan, and as always Jeff and team followed up to make sure everything was just right."

"I love my new sunroom! It's so much nicer than I even imagined it would be. The work was extremely professional and the job site was spotless when they were done. Covid delayed availability of materials naturally but they kept in touch with me every step of the way so I knew what was going on and they worked in very cold weather to get it done. I would recommend them highly to anyone needing sunroom remodeling; you'll be so glad you chose them! Austin and Marcy are the best!"

"I had several areas of sod that had died after the builder installed when our house was built. Bill came out and reviewed the areas and provided a quote. The work was more intensive as originally thought because the builder laid sod on top of concrete spoils, rocks, stone. This lead to an increase in the cost of work but it's understandable as this was unforeseen. Bill communicated updated throughout the process. They also repaired a section of the new sod they did the day before after my chemical guy damaged it when treated the areas for pests. Bill is also helping me find a new chemical guy after see the results to the rest of my lawn."

"We had a great experience! Mike did the job in two days and we couldn't be more impressed! It looks beautiful, no complaints. They were there when they said they would be and when something came up they contacted me. The price was very reasonable and they were friendly to work with. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again in the future."

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Middletown, IN

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
