"It went perfectly. I called and spoke to the office immediately. They came out the next day on a Sunday prepared to give an estimate and complete the job. Everything is done. They performed quality work with quality products, very professional, clean-cut, honest, efficient, fair price. We are very happy and highly recommend them."

"We discovered Sunroomescapes at a Homeshow, we got an estimate from them and one other contruction co.. We chose Sunroomescapes because the owner of the Co. came out to give us an estimate for a 16X16 4 seasons room with no pressure to buy. Rick was professional. <br /> We had an existing roof and floor supports because it was previously a screened in porch and all the supports were not exactly square. They squared everything up (which took some time to do) and installed the room. It took a total of 5 weeks but we had some rainy days and some very windy days when they couldn't work. <br /> The workers were very friendly and trustworthy. <br /> <br /> We are very happy with the overall experience, we hardly know what the rest of the house looks like because we spend so much time in our sunroom. We have heating and cooling so we can enjoy our room year round. <br /> <br /> I would not hesitate to recommend Sunroomescapes. <br /> <br /> Kathy Gillman"

"Overall, okay. They did the job and after a few back and forths, all of the small things they'd forgotten were done (e.g. type of shutters wasn't correct, so were reordered; exterior light was broken during work, so they fixed; new outlet installed as they'd broken one, etc.) Where I've downgraded them is for the lack of extras offered. As I watch neighbors get their siding done, their projects include repainting of the garage door and wood porches, brick/stone façade on the foundation wall, chimney cap, etc. We were not offered any similar services and in fact, when I asked about painting, they said no. A year later, my house looks incomplete as I have projects related to the residing that I need to do and my neighbors have nice new looking homes. If you just want new siding, bare bones project, this company is for you. If you want a complete project, I would look elsewhere."

"We are happy with the Windows.  However I suspect that the pricing floats according to visibility of project (busy street + sign = more 'discount').  I will say the installation went smoothly and we are happy with the result.  We didn't realize that there'd be a ledge in front of these new windows - kind of looks goofy, but for replacement windows I'm sure we could have done worse.  Installers were good & professional.  Some of the windows are difficult to lock. Also, the EPA Lead Testing fee is complete bunk. I don't think they did anything different in terms of making sure the lead paint dust didn't come into the house. The only time they put up a screen was for the front door installation. I bet the windows went to the landfill jus the same. <br />"

"esInitially it started out well but as is typical in this industry, things start to fall off.  He is able to do most phases of construction but prefers trimwork.  The scope of work that we had didn't fit where he wanted to be.  If it was a single job that he was being hired for, I think he would be good.  He did good work but we do a lot of custom stuff and that throws our subs off sometimes.  Super nice guy and I felt that he was trustworthy. <br />"

"We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem. An extra bracket was included, which we also installed as this will be a large ?sail? on the side of the house and we want it to stay there. We extend our sincere thanks to the team at RetractableAwnings.com, and for those review sites that accept photographs, we include the following photo."

"I like them a lot. They were good to me. They took my old counter top and remove the sink, took out, the old stove and the placed new counter top, sink, glass top flat stove and new stainless steel hood. They charged me exactly the amount they quoted me. they were friendly, honest and they gave me a detailed quote. They are a small company but they gave me a very good service. I was impressed. They even cleaned after the work was done."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Milford, IA

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
