"First I had a bathroom issue from a water problem.  Gary's estimate made the most sense to me and he took extra time to explain what needed to be done.  I had an idea of what I wanted and he took it from there.  We needed to reroute the plumbing to an inside wall. He explained it all to me in a way I understood and did a great job! He also installed the new dry wall ceiling in the bathroom below.  I managed to segue him into the kitchen! My 1965 kitchen was in dire need of a makeover.  He turned it into a 2014 kitchen.  The first day demo was so quick and efficient, I was in shock!  I told Gary what I wanted and he helped me make decisions along the way. I had no experience with new construction and had no idea what to expect. Gary showed me my options and explained how he was going to make my decisions happen.  He built the countertop himself including trim, installed a LOT of cabinets, installed appliances (rerouted plumbing for the refrigerator), rerouted electrical to move old wiring and lighting placement with new placement and lighting fixtures. He worked the plumbing for a new disposal and replaced all the outlets and switches.  He installed all the flooring and was VERY knowledgeable in helping me pick the flooring for my needs. He has great taste in colors too. :-)  I asked his advice on different issues and he was more than willing to help me.  He was patient and understanding.  So in all, Gary can and did do it all.  
My kitchen looks incredible!  He was super nice to my dog Jim who I think will miss him more than I will. :-) I have many other jobs in this house and will call Gary first. He is my "go to" guy and look forward to working with him in the future.

"Used an Angie's List "Big Deal", so the service was pre-paid.  The Plumber called that day to schedule replacement.  He showed up on the scheduled day, EARLY! (Plumbers never show up early).  He was super courteous- He and his helper wore booties over their shoes all the time they were in the house.  The installation and removal of the old unit was totally transparent.  They went right to work and did their job.   The next day, Mr. Stephens telephoned me to follow-up and make certain I was happy.  A nice touch."

"Discount Drains did a great job. I hired them to fix gas piping issues to my backup Generator for my house. They came to evaluate my project the same day I called, and repaired it the next day. They fixed problems that my previous plumber had caused and had refused to admit were problems. The Generator had not been working, Generator company said it was gas piping issues, old plumber who did original hookup and subsequent maintenance refused to accept that – but Discount Drains immediately identified several problems with existing gas plumbing, re-piped the gas feed, and surprise – the Generator fired right up and ran for the first time in months. Great work."

They were average. They were nice guys but didn't really do what I thought they would do. They just seem really disorganized. Two guys working on one faucet, it took a couple of hours and it is still dripping.

"I hired Ron to paint the inside of my house. He did walls, woodwork, stairs, and ceilings. He also repaired cracks in the plaster. He did a great job! I was very happy with the way it turned out. His estimate was very reasonable. He was available to start right away. It was a big job and he worked very quickly and completed the job early. Very reliable, efficient, and personable.
