"At the time we bought our house, we knew we’d need a down-to-the-studs renovation on our kitchen and first floor bathroom. After living with the house for quite some time, we finally decided to move the bathroom, incorporate our mudroom as indoor space, and open up our floor plan. We needed design help, significant structural reinforcement, and soup-to-nuts project management: enter the Curtice Group. Scott drew up great plans, created a manageable budget, and helped us to visualize the space from the start. His team created a temporary kitchen in our living room and went to work while allowing us to keep up with our jobs and manage our small child. The result of the renovation was better than we imagined, on time, and on budget. Scott has a small team with a much wider network of subcontractors that want to work with him, because he pays them well and manages everything precisely. The Curtice Group is not cheap, but you don’t get quality work on the cheap. I can’t recommend this team enough. We couldn’t be happier with their work."

"Wallpaper removal = A; plastering = A-; painting: C+. We were disappointed in the overall experience. They were kind enough and their wallpaper removal and plastering was great, really solid—but on the final day, they rushed with the painting to get it done on the original time frame, and while one room was top notch, another was above average, and the bathroom was very sloppy. There was wall paint on our bathroom tiles, vanity, and shower; unsanded/unsmoothed plaster chunks that were just painted right over and were unsightly and lumpy; peeling caulking; parts where the paint was crooked or misaligned with baseboards; paint dribbles on floor and utensils on counter; and they did a poor job cleaning up, with plaster dust everywhere, paint to be cleaned up in the bathroom, and paint and plaster dust in, on, and around our cabinets. One of the crew members’ painting skills was just rushed and poor and it detracted from the others’ skills. By the time the job was over they rushed to get out of the house and did not carefully complete a walkthrough."

"Pedro renovated about 80% of our 1890s 5-bedroom Victorian home. The work was uniformly excellent and completed on schedule, despite the interruptions caused by the early phases of the pandemic. Pedro is an absolute pleasure to work with, and he maintained excellent relationships with us, the architect, and his subcontractors. His estimate was reasonable as were the change orders. We were lucky to find him!"

"As above...simply marvelous. Eduardo is extremely neat, always cleaning up when done and placed materials and tools away properly. I had originally met Eduardo three years ago when my sliding glass doors needed replacing and ceilings, closets etc. needed painting. His English, at first, was difficult but since that time, he has vastly improved along with his personal talents and experience as a professional. His carpentry skills and his inbred abilities to do most anything are outstanding. He completed work (counters, seating, flooring etc) in my daughter's Cafe in ample time and nicely done for her grand opening. He's hung closet doors, sliding doors, installed faucets, exhaust fans. He's done some plumbing, tiling, a full shower with built in seat, interior and exterior house painting, rake boards, trim, a bit of electrical work, etc. He's repaired, retaped and painted several ceilings. He has replaced all of the rotted boards hither and yon throughout my property; from the front and back porches and decks, to the shed, to the front stairs to the trim around doors, windows etc. Eduardo, most importantly, is honest and trustworthy and, I must say, most respectful...always. I would not and did not hesitate to leave my doors open when I was out. My home was open for him. He takes pride in his work and has quietly done many extra things that have surprised me so. Example; my trash barrels have been brought in for me, my garden tools or hoses have been picked up for me. Saw dust, debris, dust and dirt have all been cleaned away. He is a good person, a hard worker, and is fairly priced. I would recommend him at any time. You may speak to me personally if you wish further information. He would have my number. I truly, truly, appreciate everything that he has done for me. Work still needs doing and he diligently is working on my list: fieldstone walls that need rebuilding, smoke detectors needing replacing, attic vent fan replacement, wallpaper removal, more interior painting, some high hedge trimming, mulching, edging etc. etc. etc. He will shine at anything and everything that you need doing. "I reached out to Tighe about doing some closet work renovations for us after seeing a recommendation by someone on Instagram and seeing his work. He came on short notice and during Christmas week. We showed him the areas we were considering to have work done. A few weeks later we had him get started on the closet renovations. Each closet just had a rod and shelf (not a great use of the space). Being an architect, I drew up the plans (half ikea parts and half custom) and got a reasonable quote from Tighe. Tighe exceeded my expectations. First of all, heâ s just a really nice guy, and very respective of our home given that I work from home since COVID, and kids are learning remotely. Everything he did was with care, and if something wasnâ t going to match what I had drawn, he communicated with me why it canâ t, and we worked together to have the best outcome. The end result was exactly what I had envisioned. I would recommend Tighe for any renovation, large or small, without hesitation."

"Division we had for our dining room was achieved. We had cabinetry and bookshelves in our dining room that were replaced by curio cabinets, and totally repainted to match our furniture. US pro painting did a wonderful job with flawless painting, reinstallation of lower cabinets and installation of new curio glass cabinets. JR, the owner, was very cooperative, and provided photos at each step of the renovation, since we were away during that time. If we have a painting or renovation project, we will use them again."

"James, Derek, Jose and the rest of the DiOrio team were great to work with. We hired DiOrio for a total full bathroom gut job - full demolition down to the studs and then renovation. As part of the process, we procured multiple quotes. James and Derek provided a rough estimate on the spot and then gave us the most transparency through the contract. They were quick to work with and get the contract sorted and signed. Pricing was fair and competitive. Once the project started, communication was great. Our project went on longer than anticipated as we added multiple things in the middle and worked with Boston's inspection process and they were always great managing the project, the contacts, subs, etc. They worked with at each step to ensure we were happy with how things were progressing. James was hands-on throughout the entirety of the project - from start to finish. His attention to detail is fantastic - particularly in the tile work, which was beautiful (despite us having a complicated pattern request). Toward the end of the project, he worked weekends and stayed late to we could get things done within a certain timeline. At one point in the project there was a hiccup from one of the specialists and Derek immediately reached out to us to ensure they would take care of everything. Totally seamless and I really appreciated that their long relationships with the people they worked with gave us security we wanted for the job as a whole. Totally trustworthy and thoughtful around all our kids, pets, home, and yard. They clearly put a lot of thought into the contract which includes all details, so be sure you understand what the finished product will be so there are no surprises. "Cannot say enough good things about Mavridis Contracting and its sub-contractors. This was a challenging project in part because the prior remodeling contractor (from forty years ago) cut many corners that needed to be remedied. Mr. Mavridis, his employees, and sub-contractors identified and explained every issue so that we could make informed decisions. The team was courteous, professional, skilled, and very tidy (cleaning up after each day). The finish work (tiling, carpentry, etc.) is excellent. Even the city inspectors provided unprompted compliments on the final product."
