All I'd heard my whole life was how contractors can't be trusted, they always end up charging way more than the initial quote, they always take way longer to finish than expected, and communicating with them is a chore and you'll never be able to contact them again once their work is finished. All of these ideas were completely wrong when it came to Carlos and his crew. They arrived promptly every morning. They were respectful of the house, as far as putting plastic down so the carpets, walls etc. were never damaged during their time here. They cleaned up every night before they left, so we could live comfortably while they were working. They finished on time, on budget and the work was immaculate. Carlos takes pride in his work and you can see it. He's not just throwing it together to get out and get paid. He REALLY CARES. And on the final misconception about contractors, communication. The morning after he left, I had an issue with the toilet flushing. I sent him a quick video of the problem, and he called me right back and told me how to correct the issue. Carlos is the exact opposite of everything I have ever heard about the industry, and I can't give him enough praise.
