"It looks wonderful! We are so pleased with the way it looks now. The team re-worked our irrigation system with great care, so we know this turf is going to survive and thrive. The Trawicks are extremely professional and have the best customer service, always. We have worked with them for 8 years."

"Calling, arranging the appointment time, getting a call from the plumber were all exemplary. The plumber and his helper arrived ahead of time and called to verify if that fit my schedule well. They were courteous and thorough. However, they could not resolve my problem (a defective O-ring in the pop-up assembly) because they did not have the specific part on their well-stocked service van. The plumber was frank with me and gave me the option of obtaining the O-ring and repairing the drain assembly myself or getting him to return at another date with the proper part and charge me for a second house call. I chose the former and he only charged me half the price of the house call. Four trips to Big Box for wrong parts or parts that didn't work and about $100 later, I repaired the problem finally."

"We were contacted by Kelby Goodwin who set an appointment to visit my wife and myself. He arrived promptly on time and was very polite, professional and business like. He reviewed the area we wanted to re-do, drew rough sketches. He then made suggestions to us based upon what we would like to see. He provided various pictures for to see and be able to envision the <br /> completed result. He left and set up a follow time to show us his completed plans. We agreed to the final plans and pricing. We were disappointed in that it would take longer to start the project than what we were envisioning, but <br /> this was due to both weather delays and their already committed schedules. That we understood. Then one day shortly after Kelby called and said they had an unexpected opening also because of weather. He set it up for the next day. He arrived with a complete working crew the next day and proceeded start planting and moving current plants. His crew was very pleasant and polite and extremely accommodating to our needs. We have since then had to contact Kelby about other plant concerns <br /> not related to their project but he still was very helpful and cordial to us. <br />"

"Everything was completed in about 5 hours.  The drainage pipe was clogged by roots from a cyprus tree and had to be replaced.  It ran under a sidewalk.  Two of the sprinkler heads went underneath a fence and one went around a concrete driveway.  These 3 sprinklers were connected in-line to an existing sprinkler.  The total length of digging required was about 25 feet.  The pipe for the spigot was also about 25 feet and connected to the underground manifold control box (I think that's what it's called) in the center of the back yard.  It's a simple spigot but does the job.  It's been a little over one month since the work was done and the grass has all grown back over the areas that were dug up to lay the pipes.  This company has always done good work for me. <br />"

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Mobile, AL

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
