"After showing up several hours later than promised, and too late to complete the work as the sun was setting and temperature dropping into 40s, then not showing up the next day as promised, I had to call to find out what was going on. Again the workers did not showing up at the time promised, but were several hours late, and then the work performed appeared rushed and was very poor quality. The seal coating completely missed a couple large areas of the driveway, the grass was not edged back from the drive leaving the edges of the drive untreated with sealcoating, and I was left with questions about whether some of the cracks that were not filled should have been (to me some of the unfilled cracks looked to be larger than 1/4 inch). I texted pictures to Tim of the work, and he had his employees come back out to completely redo the driveway, and he came out himself to supervise and help. There were many different excuses given by Tim and the employees about the reasons for the poor communication and poor quality of the initial work (previous jobs took longer than expected, worker's partner was at hospital because of sick relative, two employees were new with one that had no sealcoating experience, etc). However the final work completed was A+ quality work and looks almost new again. Received many compliments on the final job, and my neighbors had Central Paving and Sealcoating do their driveway. The company came through and made everything right in the end, and we would most likely call them again when our driveway needs another sealcoating, but we would do so knowing not to expect excellent communication and punctuality. <br />"

"We called Bob to do an estimate on our roof. He explained that he had jobs lined up to be completed before ours, but if we sprang a leak, he would come and tarp it immediately. Fortunately, that didn't happen. As it was July, Bob and his helper showed up quite early in the morning to begin work. Bob explained his work schedule, meaning he would take off in the worst of the afternoon heat and return in the evening to continue. They draped tarps around the house to catch errant nails and shingles as they tore off the old roof. We learned that there are certain detailed tasks that Bob does himself, like flashing around a chimney. He is very particular about the quality of his work which we consider a excellent trait in a workman. The roof was completed in a matter of days and the yard was cleaned up. "We bought a 1920s house that needed a new kitchen. Mike gave us a very detailed estimate and recommended a kitchen designer to help me design the project. We decided to add a doorway through an exterior brick wall to create a doorway into the adjoining sunroom instead of removing the wall between the kitchen and formal dining room. This maintained the original character of the house while still giving some "flow" into the former sunroom. The walls and floors of both rooms were taken down to the studs and the new foam insulation was sprayed inside the walls of the sunroom. A new exterior door was installed out to the back porch, The entire kitchen and sunroom were sheet rocked and new tile floors installed to both rooms. The kitchen was wired, plumbed for gas and water and beautiful kitchen cabinets and granite installed. One thing Mike Von Behren is particularly good at is replacing/restoring the molding, baseboards and door frames to match the original millwork in the house. The finished kitchen/family room is a beautiful addition to this older home and we have enjoyed it very much. Working with Mike was a pleasure-communication was great and he is very detailed and has a great team. I would definitely recommend Von Behren for any home building/remodeling projects where quality, attention to detail and excellent communication are important concerns. <br />"
