A1 came the following morning and the drain was cleared in less than a half hour. They even hosed the basement floor afterwards. Mel and Curtis did the work and were awsome. "Talk about some great people. Had Joe do a sort of emergency job on Friday. The Cranberry water issue struck with a pin hole leak on my main supply line. While taking down ceiling tiles, I discovered the whole line had many green spots. He quickly fixed 20 feet of bad line with Pex lines and we are now back in business. Super nice and a great worker. "Kohl Heating Services whom we have used for almost 10 years AND WERE ALWAYS HAPPY WITH AND TRUSTED told us we needed a NEW COMPRESSOR for our 5 year old HEAT PUMP they installed in 2019 . on 6-21-24 our AC stopped working , we called Kohl Heating Services on Saturday morning 6-22-24 paid the the $179 weekend service fee rate figuring it was a capacitor as it was in the past with our other heat pump . their tech replaced the capacitor , and told us that the compressor was bad , it was covered under warranty however the labor cost was going to be $1650.00 to $1950.00 . so in the meantime because Kohl Heating Services was not able to install the new compressor till 7-1-24 over a week later we went out and purchased 2 AC units at the cost of $500.00 to keep the house cool as possible for the week . i also contactacted our insurance company thinking it was possibly a power surge from the bad storms we had that week . Kohl Heating Services told the insurance adjuster there were no signs of a lightning strike , our adjuster advised us to contact another heating company to get their opinion . the other company came out to inspect the heat pump and was curious as to why a 5 year old heat pump would need a new compressor ? they replaced the capacitor and the heat pump fired right up without any problem whatsoever they checked the freon and the gauges read perfect . in closing we almost put out almost $2000.00 on a bad diagnosis . Kohl Heating Services response to us was " it was a busy week and sometimes thing just fall through the cracks " we did ask them for compensation for the 2 AC units and at least on of the service fees plus electricity cost . they offered to reimburse the service fee only , we said that wasnt good enough as it wasnt our mistake and would like the two AC units to be paid for also . "No" was the answer , then they offered to pay for both AC units and wanted them and the receipts but no reimbursement for the $179 service fee . by that time i had sold the 1 AC unit at half of what we paid . i told Mr. Kohl they could have the other AC unit for what i paid , $300.00 and the $179 service fee and his answer was no . also NEVER EVER WAS IT STATED TO US THAT THE COMPRESSOR MAY HAVE BEEN OVERHEATED AND NEEDED TO COOL DOWN !!!!!! and that the tech to instal the compressor would double check just to be sure NEVER !!!! even if the compressor was " OVERHEATED " the AC quit around 7pm on 6-21-2024 Kohls Heating Services did not arrive until 6-22-2024 around 10am , so Kohls Heating Services is implying that after 14 hours the compressor had still not cooled ? not sure why any company would jeopardize losing a almost 10 year paying customer ? but Kohls Heating Services managed to do so ."
