"I am in the process of selling my home, the buyers added a requirement to the inspection resolution that I enlist a specific contractor to perform some general repairs. I have not encountered a situation of this nature, and I decided to obtain a second opinion. I contacted Chris with Five Sons, he was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, going well above and beyond. Following a brief conversation this afternoon, he drove from the West side of Denver all the way over to my home, which is just off of E470 and Jewell, to provide me with peace of mind. He conducted the inspection and advised me that he agreed with the majority of the proposal the buyers had obtained, however turned down my offer for the work, stating that he preferred that I go with the buyers roofer, which should keep them happy and ensure I have a successful close on the house. "Our only complaint about Metro Reconstruction was the length of time it took to start the job. However, it’s hard to fault a company whose popularity and good work actually created their wait list. Ben explained that several of his other stucco projects had hidden complications that delayed the start of our small job. But in the end, our patience was rewarded and we were very happy with the result. Here’s a brief recap. In late December 2015, six months after we signed the contract, Ben contacted us to let us know that our stucco repair was next in line. Our stucco was damaged from a rogue woodpecker and we were seeking a permanent (non-lethal) solution to the problem. In a just a week or so, Ben was at our house reviewing the job details and taking a stucco sample to match our color. Now all we had to do was wait for the weather to warm up and even that arrived right on cue. The work crew was efficient, professional and polite. Every evening they cleaned up the work site and kept the clutter to a minimum. Within a week the task was completely done and we are very glad that we waited."

"Work is not scheduled until December. They used technology to evaluate the roof (an IR camera attachment & app for a cell phone), presented a great product, and provided a reasonable bid. Since the work has not yet been done, I can't rate the quality, etc. However, the system forced me to enter 'placeholders'"

"Did not go well. I was told it would be more cost effective to replace rather than repair. I understood a replacement would be of similar features, capacity and efficiency, not true. My range was a single oven electric range with 5 elements on a smooth surface. I was first offered $299.99 to replace, After a week of attempting to speak with the person handling my claim the amount was raised to $349. There's nothing on the market similar to what I had for that price. The cheapest I could find was $599 on sale"

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
