Day of they didn't show I texted and they didn't respond so I called Anthony picked up the phone and verified I was 2nd on the schedule for the day verified my address so we waited as my husband and I took the week off for holiday and came back early from camping. They never showed I texted no response and then called and no answer. I now wasted time picking them over others and have to start process over again. "They gave me an estimate for $15000 which I agreed to. On the day the work was done, I was told that additional “base stabilization” was needed because of an area where my driveway had been washing and that they would have to order $5000 more asphalt to fill that in, or else the results would be bad. This washed area was clearly visible when the original estimate was made and should have been included in the initial price. The truth is that they had plenty of asphalt initially, but they sold some of my asphalt to my next-door neighbor to pave his driveway because they told him they brought too much asphalt to my job. Then they put on a hard sell to me, telling me that I needed to buy more asphalt to get a reasonable job done. Effectively they charged two different people for the same asphalt. While the work was pretty good and the workers seemed courteous, I think their business practices are definitely shady. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone, and I don't think much of Angi for recommending them. The uploaded picture shows the neighbor's driveway which they paved with part of my initial load of asphalt."

He also gave recommendations of what the best stone was to use. He always arrived on time and was very professional. His work was exceptional and looks absolutely beautiful now that it is done. "Stop your search...call Zalar's. Our highest compliment is they treated our lawn as if it were their own. A very large maple tree was taken down in late fall so a complete redo of the front yard was needed. The tree cast complete shade on the front so there virtually was no grass...and heavy Pittsburgh clay soil. The ground was prepared and seeded, weeds and old shrubs removed, all beds were mulched, beautiful new shrubs were planted, and a very, very heavy lawn ornament was picked-up and installed. Beyond the very fair, highly competitive price, Adam and Eric proved to be highly skilled craftsmen. They made excellent suggestions which improved our initial plans. The smallest detail did not escape their attention. Zalar's has our unqualified endorsement."
