My wife was home with our 3 kids while the installation was done over the course of a week, and she was very comfortable with the crew. His site foreman Tony genuinely cared about getting the job done right, and had a great working relationship with his crew. They worked hard and didn't waste time. I also know why Tom wasn't the cheapest. The cheapest guys we talked with seemed to care most about "we do more jobs than anyone and get them done fast..." Tom wasn't the most expensive either - he was fair and honest from start to finish. Bottom line - you get what you pay for. Nobody likes spending thousands of dollars on siding, but we feel relieved we won’t be spending thousands more to fix shoddy work down the road. We found/called Tom only because of his great reviews on Angie's List, and are glad we did."

"I had two wall sections with damage that needed to be repaired with new drywall and paint. Vitaly from Apex Design Build did a beautiful job on the walls -- I'm very impressed. I hope not to need that skill again any time soon, but I will certainly contact them the next time I need another wall repaired -- it's virtually impossible to tell there had been damage. He also adjusted a ceiling fan that had been installed by a friend (a mistake -- use a professional!) and it took him only 15 minutes. I have always been very impressed by how Apex Design Build cleans up everything when they are done working -- and they even took it away with them. Excellent work and in a timely manner for me."

"Our brick ranch house was in need of TLC on the old fiber board siding, which my wife and I have painted four times ourselves. We wanted to make the exterior maintenance free with a good quality vinyl siding. We contacted five separate companies, four of which were listed in Angie’s list, to get estimates. We chose The Home Improvement Co. They were neither the highest nor the lowest estimate. We based our decision on the reviews in Angie’s list, pictures of the work that had been accomplished on other jobs, and Matt’s straight forward honest presentation. Matt convinced us that one of the most important details of this work is an experienced crew that knows how to work with the material. We had chosen the insulated backed vinyl siding. The crew (Kevin and Rueben) and Matt arrived Friday and started the demolition on the west side of the house. We were having all the old siding removed and replaced with new board, moisture barrier, and the vinyl siding. They completed that side including cleanup in one day. The whole job was completed by the following Friday. The crew was great. They were friendly and professional, and they worked well together as a team. They answered any question we had and honored any request we made. They also wrapped all the windows and doors with aluminum coil. They transformed the exterior of our home. We are completely satisfied. We comment to each other every time we pull into the driveway how good our home looks now. We still plan on replacement windows and a new back door. "Dustin, William, and his team did an excellent job on our project. For 2 years, we struggled to get anyone out here to even provide a quote. Dustin showed up in a timely manner, provided us a quote, and put us on the schedule in no time. Dustin and the team ran into multiple challenges when replacing our cedar siding with cement board. These challenges had nothing to do with their capabilities, but were a result of the weather, and the placement of our house. Dustin and team persevered and kept control of the project and timeline. Their level of detail is impeccable. We were extremely impressed with the overall results of the siding. The caulking and painting are flawless. We will hire Dustin and his team in a heartbeat just for the sheer fact that they showed up and did an amazing job. However, what truly sets Dustin apart from the others is his level of customer service! He constantly communicated to us even during the challenges, always answered our questions, and addressed all our concerns. Towards the end of the project, a small tree was slightly damaged by accident. He went out and found an identical tree, brought his young son and his friend, and planted this tree on their own time. Not only does he exude character and strong values, he leveraged this opportunity to teach his son and set the ultimate example.
